I've been making this pie for many years...Wonderful! and easy!!
GERMAN SWEET CHOCOLATE FREEZER PIE
1 (4 oz) package Baker's German Sweet Chocolate
1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 package (3 oz) cream cheese-softened
1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip (thawed)
1 graham cracker pie crust (I sometimes use the chocolate pie crust)
Heat chocolate and 2 tbsp. of the milk in a pan over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted. Beat sugar into cream cheese, add remaining milk and chocolate mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped topping, blending until smooth. Spoon into crust. Freeze until firm, about 3 to 4 hours. Garnish with additional whipped topping and chocolate curls or mini chocolate chips, if desired. Let stand at room temp. about 30-45 minutes before serving. Store any leftover pie in freezer. (For Chocolate Mint Pie-prepare the above recipe adding 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the chocolate-cream cheese mixture)
