TY1, Thanks for remembering CRISP WHITE SHIRT. My question: Is every white shirt CRISP? Or only certain ones? Next time a presenter uses this phrase, can't somebody call in and ask where we can buy a white blouse that is CRISP. Maybe no one wants to say it's only a CLEAN white shirt. You can tell how much this grates on me!
I think of the "crisp white shirt" as something a man would wear to go to a "white collar job".
Lol on the other post that discusses this as I recall when I would help my aunt iron her husband's shirts and shirt collars for his button down shirts that he would wear to his job as a realtor.
Even today a lot of men's shirts have collar stays to keep the collars looking smooth.
As to women's clothing, I also think of the "crisp white shirt" as part of a work uniform and not necessarily something that one wants to wear but must wear. I also think of the term as something that a vendor or host says when they are at a loss for words to describe an outfit.
I don't own or wear white shirts, crisp or otherwise as I am not a waiter and don't want to dress like one. To me the "crisp white shirt" doesn't evoke thoughts of the YSL tuxedo look either!

"It's my favorite." or "It's my favorite, favorite, favorite."
(Said about every garment presented.)

I don't use alot of the words frequently used in todays language, but words/phrases I do not like to hear or use.........This is in general, not just on QVC

"I know, right?"......I DO HATE this. So sick of hearing everyone use this phrase!! ( statement & question in the same sentence). Drives me insane!

txstarlight, what about when they start their sentence with "I mean", when they haven't even said anything prior? so what exactly are they trying to clarify?! I've noticed that a lot of the celebrities talk that way too.
geez and sheeze is right!
That is one of my biggest pet peeves too! I started noticing it a few years ago during interviews with Olympic athletes. Then noticed it in almost all athletes and then with other celebrities. When they start EVERY sentence with the words "I Mean" you just want to shake them and say Look, it's your story, your words - we believe you that you "mean" them.

"... this yellow moment..." when referring to a top or pants. It's an article of clothing, not a "moment".
Also, people starting a sentence (usually a response) with "so". I've heard this from the younger generation.
