A long time ago some poster mentioned Bob Bowersox "in the kitchen cooking with his thongs" and probably got the most responses ever.  She was trying to post "tongs."

Bob was a little boring, then there was the nutty guy who set the kitchen on fire, but they were both more to me more watchable than David.

When David came along was about the time that QVC was about the products and hosts were about informing and connecting with the viewers than simply being "stars" and QVC focused selling on personalities rather than products and buyers.  As is the case now.

One thing about Bob Bowersox was he really cooked. Not like now with David.

I remember Bob Bowersox and his kitchen shows.  I thought he was good at presenting products and explanations.  A bit shocked when he left.

@Sunshine Kate  that's when I lost interest in watching. In the Kitchen with Bob was my favorite show. Still have lots of cookware. I now do all my shopping through the Website.

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

I loved to watch Mike Rowe. He was so funny. He was always on late at night and being the insomniac that I am, LOL, I watched him a lot. He never failed to crack me up. If he, or someone like him were a host nowadays, I would love to watch again. He was pure entertainment.Woman Happy

You can find some Mike Rowe's QVC video clips on the internet just google.....so funny.....

Antonella brought a more realistic approach to her presentations, because as she said many times, she had worked in the medical field rather than the broadcasting field.....

Lisa Mason was my favorite too...she was honest in presentations....she once told a caller who was petite and asked about a coat that was being presented Lisa told her she felt that for a petite she should wait for another coat that would be presented later, better suited for petites and it was cheaper too!!! (what other host would say that!!)...she always looked out for the customer and gave full product information!!!

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

I just saw Bob Bowersox on FB.  I really didn't recognize him at first.  He remarried in 2017, I remember him being married to Toni.

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

At one point, Mike Rowe was engaged to Corrine, one of the QVC models years ago.  She mostly modeled on the morning shows, especially when Pat & Dan had the Friday fashion show.  Going way back!
