Re: posting in appropriate forums

This post is incredibly sad. Can't believe that grown women are concerned about something so silly and unimportant.

This is one thing (well, one of many) unique to this board. At least for all the years I've been online, I've never seen another board that doesn't move OT threads to the proper forum.

But, additionally, on this board if one even mentions it they are ripped a new one. You just cannot win on that subject, even though you're right.

Maybe they think ""The Q We Love"" was meant sarcastically.

That's how I think some people are taking it.

Re: posting in appropriate forums

Some of those this really seems to rankle are actually pretty predictable... Some folks seem to thrive on rigid, hard and fast rules, while others are more flexible. Admittedly, I see no reason why folks can't take a minute to post in the most appropriate location, but it's not a big deal for me. I also know when I see OT what to expect. In some cases, it seems folks choose the forum they do because they're more familiar with the other posters. In some cases, particularly when seeking information, folks do themselves a dis-service by posting in the 'wrong' place, as they're far more likely to get answers to their questions in the proper forum.

Hi, again, chickenbutt! Moving off-topic threads to the appropriate forum is exactly what a well-moderated board would do. I think I've given up trying to understand why QVC offers these forums yet fails to manage them well. (For that matter, even the shopping side of the website has always been lagging far behind others in technology -- it's one of the most problem-filled I've seen in a long time.)

I really don't see a big problem with getting off topic but it does seem to bother some people. As far as the moderators jumping in, be careful what you wish for. To much moderating can ruin good forums, just ask any former HSN poster.

Don't worry, be Happy!
