HOW DOES ONE REMOVE THE SEAL ON THE BOTTLE OF THE DIFFUSER.  IS IS SO DIFFICULT TO REMOVE.  I TRY USING A SHARP KNIFE UNDER THE PLASTIC TO LIFT IT UP, AND THIS TAKES FOREVER, AND IT IS DANGEROUS..  ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE SO HELPFUL.  THANK YOU

I also used a sharp knife.  Very dangerous, especially for a klutz like me. I like the scent of the diffusers I got but will not be purchasing them again for this reason.

@little missy   I use needlenose pliers and it is a pain. Be careful using a knife. Yikes!

@PhilaLady1   I also like the diffusers but won't purchase anymore. It took me about five minutes to open the last one I used. Harry definitely needs to address this problem. Smiley Frustrated

I use small child's scissors, the type with the rounded tips. (Bought at Target when back to school items went dirt cheap.)

Open the scissors and wedge under the plastic, then wiggle up and down until it pops.

This kind of thing has been a gripe of mine for years. Why do manufacturers make these things such a chore?

I use cuticle scissors, the flat one and work around lifting up. Takes away bit of time.

Re: harry slatkin's diffuser

I use a very small paring knife with blade towards the canister.  Very carefully pip it up as I move it around.  It lifts just enough for me to grab.

But

The Elton John diffusers are wayyyy easier to open.  Was hoping that would become the norm.
