On email---when telling me thanks for ordering the Q says Dear Renee. Is this something new--anyone else? Nothing wrong with it just curious.

@halfpint1I just looked at a recent email for an order.  It does start "Dear MJ12".  Not sure if this is new or not, I usually don't read the emails.

@halfpint1, yes, order confirmations come to me with my first name as the addressee.  Monthly order summaries, cancellation confirmations - anything that comes to me by e-mail.

In this day and age of on-line security hacks, it's certainly a good idea to make sure things are kosher.

are you questioning because they addressed you by your first name?

No, this isn't new; messages I receive from the Q always include my first name. I'm sure it's just the result of an automated computer system filling in a form field.

HSN has been doing this for awhile.  Since they are the same company, maybe that’s why they are doing it now.

Nothing new. QVC has been doing this for as long as I can remember. It's an automated response that inserts our first name (think of mail merge)
