Re: cancel an order& return to sender

I won't say I've done it frequently but I have on occasion used the "return to sender" and all has turned out well.  No problem at all.  When UPS is the shipper, the driver immediately scans the package.  My guess is the post office does the same.

It seems odd c/s would suggest refusing a package.  It must have been an inexperienced rep.

Re: cancel an order& return to sender

I was told by my local UPS location that you can marl RTS or Return to Sender on package.  The tracking number that is used is the same one that is used when it is shipped out.  I have done this several times without any issue.  I agree that now that you can't cancel an order that this is sometimes the only way to handle a change of mind.

@mishka14  I wonder if you wouldn't have been able to just edit the order if it had only been a couple of hours?  I've done that on more than one occasion.

HI,   yes I have used the "edit" before when I changed color or size or something,  but this time I just wanted to cancel it.   I don't even want it anymore ... but whenever it decides to get here I have to waste 6.95 to return it....as per what Customer Service told me to do.

When I tried to cancel and it won,t do it, I call CS, and am told no charge and they will post that on my order.  They never post when they say they will, but I call when I am charged for return shipping and let them know what the original CS said and they refund charge.

Re: cancel an order& return to sender

I have a PO box  and the few times this has happened they take the unopened package back and send it back "refused."  I once ordered a clearance George Foreman grill that weight about 20 lbs it seemed, one of the big ones.  No way could I handle that, so I never bothered to even open it up.  I think you run a tiny risk of a lost shipment but I'll take that chance.
