QVC called me twice ... it was due to letters I wrote to management concerning their business practices, and later received calls from their executive assistance who left voice messages each time.   But otherwise, I believe they would only email customers for any other business matters.

Never got a call. But I did get a Thanksgiving greeting card one year.  It was nice. 😁

@wagirl  As a matter of fact, yes. I received a phone call from Beth, one of the Monitors at QVC, who had been helping me with the returned Royal Palace rugs, a few days ago! The call was from QVC's actual number and had "QVC" listed as the calling party. I answered the call and was pleased to hear she had, indeed, issued the credits to my account as indicated in her response on this Board. It was a pleasure to talk to her in person. She's really, really good! Other than her call, no, I've never had QVC contact me by phone.

@MoJoV -- Well, there's another old memory!  I remember when QVC would send out greeting cards (Thanksgiving, birthday month, etc.) which were 'signed' by all the hosts offering Easy Pays for a certain amount of time.  Can't imagine QVC doing that today.

I've received calls from HSN (recorded) saying an item has been delayed, etc.

@wagirl

I had one of the mods on these boards call me once concerning a product I had ordered. She emailed first & asked if it was okay to call me. She resolved my problem quickly & I was very pleased that she took the time to personally contact me.

    Just recently I had a call from HSN telling me that my returns had been received.   I was so surprised.

    Did not talk to the person, but the voice mail was very pleasant.

I too received a call that had gone into our voicemail.  It was a recording that stated one of my orders was going to take more time to ship.  At that time I had three orders "in process" and I didn't care enough to call and try to find out which one it was.

The next day I checked and two had shipped and my "as is" order was and is still "in process".

I've been with QVC for well over 20 years and that was the first time I had ever received that type of call.

            Several months ago I received several calls from QVC that followed up on a problem with an order.  Very helpful, and they even provided names and extension numbers for additional help.

            It’s not necessarily true that a security breach would always affect all customers, by the way.   Sometimes suspicious activity shows up only on one customer account, or just a few accounts.  Aware of phishing email messages, it’s reasonable that QVC might opt for a phone call instead.

           Regardless, since I don’t answer unless I recognize the caller ID,  I would follow up as you did, @wagirl — looking up the number online — then I would contact QVC directly and ask about the call.

i have received phone calls from qvc from both customer service AND from mods.

2 mods called at two different times to help with  order problems and they took care of things immediately.

other calls have been for order delays and once or twice i believe an order would not go through due to credit card expiration dates that needed to be updated.
