Wrong size and color ring sent to me.

I recently treated myself to a gorgeous ring, set in silver, with a large prasiolite stone.  I received a ring several sizes smaller than I ordered, and in an amethyst stone.  So now I have to call customer service to make sure they don't charge me for the return shipping.  This sort of thing has happened before, when I received a pair of jeans in a size that swamped me.  The inefficiency continues;

More than likely, they use robotic equipment in the warehouse.

(Another tv retailer has even shown videos of how that works.)

@CABRIT  - Email the Q Social Team and they'll put a note on your account.  Check back when the item is returned to make sure you were not charged for shipping.  If you were, email the Social Team again.  They'll take care of it and it won't require having to call CS.

@CABRIT   Of course write "defective" on the return slip and sending you what you ordered w/o charging shipping...IF it's in stock.

Re: Wrong size and color ring sent to me.

@Desertdi   I think the company you're referring to spent huge money to automate.  They did that early in the pandemic after their volume the first year increased by 70%.  They spent the whole amount of the revenue increase to do that. I think it does increase both the speed and accuracy of delivery, but investors still pay attention to their cloud business more than their retail.  Cloud and fees drive their profit AND pay for that "free" delivery.

Works well for many, especially families but even more for local businesses.

I haven't had the wrong QVC item sent to me for over 20 years, not even the 5 years in the 20teens when I was buying over and over during every month.

I can honestly say I've never been sent the wrong item until last week.  I ordered the lemon blouse by Kim G & received a horrible flowered dress; not even close.

I also never get wrong items.  I either get no item (shipper's fault) or I receive another customer's item.

I just recently had the same issue. I ordered a Lands End top in burgundy size small but received a blue print size medium and that was the first time that's ever happened after over 15 yrs of shopping with QVC. I returned the item, called CS and was refunded my total costs, no return shipping fee charged.

I've had some incorrect orders over the years, but besides being a mild disappointment, QVC has made good on it.
