This is all news to me, too.  And I'm still content with Hershey's chocolate!   Woman Happy

My father-in-law loved candy with a glass of Jim Beam. I got it for him every Christmas: bottle of Jim Beam and a box of Godiva.

My brother gave Mom Sees chocolates every Christmas.

Brother gave me a box of Baklava last Christmas instead of candy.

That'll put a pound or two on you!

@LuvmyLab   I'm one who always skips the food shows. I watched one once years ago and the price for holiday goodies was so much more money...a lot more...than seemed like a sane purchase IMO.

I wouldn't even consider buying chocolate that expensive.

@Shanus  Agree.  I know those shows are popular but I have no idea why.  Overpriced and why not just go to the vendor directly rather than thru QVC?  Oh well, I guess anything to help QVC stay afloat--LOL!!

Dubai chocolate doesn't mean just country of origin like Belgium or France.

It's a distinct product that's made with pistachios and other ingredients.

It went viral on social media a year or two ago and then started being replicated here and in other countries.

I would say that trend has quieted down now so it's interesting to see where it pops up now.  But it's not trying to replace anyone's Sees or Hersheys or any other brand.

Because QVC usually has a configuration you can't get from the website.  Just Bagels is literally 5 miles from my house and has a small storefront.  They don't match the prices on QVC so I get them from QVC.  😁

Don't most check a vendor's website first? I do and I find QVC offers a better value, and something items not available on another website.

That's the case with the Dubai chocolate bars. They're not yet available on the Dar Baklava website.
