I watched Valerie's show last evening with Ali Carr and Val's new spokesperson. IMO, neither did justice to this line and, yes, I'm a big fan of her things. It didn't help that the spokesperson was off-site and there was a noticeable delay in what Ali was saying and what the lady was saying, lots of quiet space. Anyway---there was a wheelbarrow and Ali and the other lady both wondered if it was called a "wheelbarrow" or "wheelbarrel". My ex from Kansas used to call it a "wheelborr". Then Ali said she grew up thinking when people said "run an errand", she always thought they were saying "run an Erin". People are strange Woman Very Happy

I did catch this when I was going through channels. Very odd to say the least.

I stopped to watch because I never saw anybody else with Valerie's products.

It got embarrassing especially with run an Erin, come on Ali.

I would not say strange.  Just different, which I believe is a good thing. I am glad I am the way I am!

@I am still oxox  "Regional speech" is ok if someone is on local television, otherwise, it needs to be corrected.

Valerie has  the gift of descriptive words in selling her line of  decorative items and the soft voice which sets an enjoyable tone. Have seen her Rep on set a few times .

There is always an issue when Hosts & Reps  are on skype  due to delayed auto  with them talking over one another or  spaces of silence.

I bought Valerie once in the 1990"s.  It was a set of candles and when I lighted the wicks of the largest candle, they burned to the surface and died out.  I returned everything.

I rarely watch more than a minute and even then often mute the TV.

I believe her name is Cathy and she isn't a new spokesperson for Valerie's line. She's been around for quite some time. She mainly presents on QVC2 and during the times Valerie has stopped presenting for the season. She also does the majority of Valerie's clearance shows after the Christmas holiday.

As @I am still oxox  said...it depends on where you live.    I never heard the word "freeway" until I moved to California.     In Chicago, it was "expressway", "interstate", "tri-state" or "toll road".

If the road was divided with a landscaped median, it was a "parkway" or a "boulevard".

And there is also the "skyway"...an 8 mile bridge connecting Illinois to Indiana...

That's interesting!  When we moved from the Bay Area CA people here in Denver called freeways "highways".  Didn't know the rest of the country has different names for it too.
