Why so many problems with shipping?

On May 12th, I placed an order, paid for it and on May 20th, I see this "

AGENT PICKUP; IN TRANSIT TO UPS FACILITY / UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY

QVC charges more than 99% of the other websites for shipping, but it has to be the absolutely WORST shipping ever. ***slaps hand, reminds self to stop shopping on QVC***
