and you know what's funny about that...I checked and the few things I had wanted to buy qvc had raised their prices which quite sufficiently covered the free shipping. So, I bought nothing.
Nothing on my Wish List increased in price for this free shipping weekend.
You're a lucky girl. ![]()

What Q offers for me:
Clothing: QVC offers a true variety of sizes, both XXS-5X and a lot in P, R and Tall.
So that's one thing I like that I can't find everywhere. And they charge the same price for all sizes.
Also I can SEE the clothing on models that are my size and height. I can see the inside material that will touch my skin.
I am sure it costs more to offer more sizing and to show models wearing different sizes.
I found a brand on QVC that is a perfect fit for me and has the type of clothing I like. They run true to size. So I purchase my clothing at the Q.
Shoes and purses I only buy on sale. I cancelled a purse but they had sent it and when I returned it they didn't charge me for return shipping, when I explained I tried to cancel.
Shoes: they do carry wide sizes quite often.
Food: I'm homebound so it's so easy for me and I know 2 brands that have always been a decent price and excellent quality and shipped safely. . Otherwise I have twice bought food that wasn't acceptable and was given a refund, no return and no questions.
Houseware: I find the Home Reflections brand very dependable and worth the price.
They also do an amazing job shipping their items with care. They also quickly discount their items and don't let them get stale. Once they discount, I try to grab their items.
In most cases I wait for free shipping.
I'm only explaining why I am willing to purchase some things from QVC and why their prices can be higher than other places.
Amazon also offers some things at a higher price than other places but I really don't see good examples of items there and don't trust their reviews. Twice I purchased from them and the items were not as advertised. I did reviews and got emails from 2 vendors asking me to change my review for free items or money! So the reviews are skewed.
When I buy things like appliances or yard equipment etc, I shop local, as they deliver.
So that's why I do feel some things are a value for me as a customer. I would never tell anyone else they are right or wrong! I am only explaining why I consider some items I buy from the Q a decent value.

Oh please, the defensive Q cadre can climb down off their soap box. Q works great for some, not so much for others. I shop here, I shop elsewhere. I'm not a dyed in the wool loyalist. I shop where it works best for me for any given item. Most sensible people do. And yes, I have experienced higher prices when they offer free shipping. I also have had many item prices remain the same. This is a shopping venue, for heaven's sake, it's not 'family'.

@10000thnickname, I agree, and in the case of Amazon they can display an item and show four different prices for the same thing. It all depends on the seller.

After my experience with getting the emails which were very desperate, I realized how phoney those reviews are. Wow.
And to get free shipping from Amazon is very expensive (PRIME). But it's a choice people make based on their own needs.

@San Antonio Gal, I agree for the most part.
I have had a couple of items increase in price, but I realize when I put them on my Wish List they had formally been Lunchtime Specials. Once that Special period expired it only makes sense that they will revert back to the higher price. I just keep them on my list and follow them until they decrease again. Hopefully that will coincide with another free shipping period.

@stevieb @That was funny! I'm truly laughing out loud!

@stevieb wrote:@Dennieee @Etoile308 Amazon is already offering it for $69 with free delivery by tomorrow if ordered within a few hours. Might be even less during prime days.
yes, but only a 30 day return policy. that might make a difference if someone is purchasing it as a christmas gift.
there is a digital download that is much cheaper if you dont need the physical game.

@KBEANS I can't agree with you because it's much more "convenient" for me to go to the Amazon app, click on any product I want to purchase, click on send, have the 5% back credit card record the sale and have it arrive in the next day or two.
Also, if I wish to return an item I just go to Whole Foods Mkt (where I normally shop), give the item to the clerk with no packing involved, have her scan the QR code provided and the credit appears on my acct in 5 mins.
I think the unique feature of shopping at QVC is that the customer can take advantage of "flex pay" although I will note that I see more and more products on Amazon offering that option.

Why does one "regular" store have a different price on the same item than another "regular" store? 🤷♀️
It's not written anywhere that everyone has to sell the same item for the exact same price.
