I've never understood why anyone would be on social media while watching a TV presentation, but I'm not a fan of social media ... which is obviously why I have no idea why anyone does this.  

They're not watching on tv.  They're watching the Facebook live feed.  Having someone interacting with viewers on Facebook is important for engagement on that platform.
