 If you look to the list of thread topics just to your left, Suggestion Box is near the bottom.

I've always wondered if the suggestions are ever seriously scrutinized.

Re: Where to send programming comments/suggestions/complaints

Their jewelry sales have gone way down, as jewelry has lost a lot of it's popularity.....

Young people want tattoos today, and most people who shopped for years on QVC on these types of shows have all the jewelry they want or need.....and if they're retired, they are getting RID of "stuff"...

A whole day of jewlery would be a bust for them I think.

And NO I didn't make this up or guess...it's in Qurate's financial reports if anyone is interested in the REAL reasons.

@Othereeeen How many "young people" do you actually know? I know a number and they like jewelry a lot and none of them have or want tats.

Your comment is pure speculation and nothing more.

@Love my grandkids

Do they shop at QVC?

It is NOT my opinion. That category is NOT making QVC the money it used to.

Why do you suppose they are doing less and less of it?

And no I don't know a lot of young people, but the ones I see out and about in daily life are COVERED with tattoos.

@Othereeeen That's what I thought. You know NO young people. Judging them all by what you see. That's just ridiculous.

@Love my grandkids

I don't need to "know young people".

I read thier financial report.

Why do YOU think they are cutting back on jewelry programming?

Has nothing to do with who I know...it has to do with current buying trends and what Qurate is NOT doing well in, as far as sales.

Wishful thinking won't cut it.

Sorry if this surprises you.

It'd be like GM continuing to make the Cruz ( A small car no one was buying any longer)..just because at ONE TIME it was popular enough to support three shifts at Lordstown GM.

No buyers, no interest, no sales, no INCOME.

The young people I know are not covered in tattoos. We have a lot of young ones in our extended families. They wear the usual jewelry but they DON'T shop at QVC. In fact none I have asked have never even heard of QVC.

I've worked with young people for decades. Very very few had tattoos.

However, my sister paid for mine for my 65th birthday.

Given the silver Q sells, I'm not surprised they cancelled a full day of it.
