Where are the Petite models?

I haven't seen a Petite model in quite some time.  It is helpful when you are very short to see what a "regular" length item looks like on someone under 5'4".

The Susan Graver TSV fleece coat was not available in Petite so I wanted to see what it looked like on a short model.  No Petite model.  Not sure if that was deliberate.  SG has a lot of short fans and this coat would have been knee length, not like those tall models on which it looked like a jacket coming to mid hip.

Re: Where are the Petite models?

@Catch71I don’t watch much because I’m not buying much of anything, but I feel as if I’m seeing the same few models almost all the time.  I certainly don’t know why but maybe some have opted not to work now because of the Covid?   Or maybe the vendors are limited as to how many different models they can use for a show?

i can’t even design a new normal for my simple life. Can’t imagine how those who have lots of others to consider find their best ways to be safe but happy and productive at the same time.

At 5'3", I was also elated when they started including petite models in their clothing shows, it just makes sense to.

Of course, QVC never seems to take the buyer's interest into consideration, just like every time they make changes to these forums.

I past up on several items because of this. With return shipping charges,I'm more careful when ordering. If I don't see an item on a petite model I don't purchase.

Re: Where are the Petite models?

once upon a time, I really wasn’t in need of petites -  age has changed that.   I’m hoping that by the time I want to shop again for new clothes (2023?), I’ll be able to shop locally at least for bottoms.   So glad I don’t need right now

Re: Where are the Petite models?

At 5 feet and no inches, I'd have to hem petite pants, too, so I just purchase regular lengths. My tailors are closed and for now can make do with what I have. I do, however like seeing the length of tops on petite models. Too often the hosts say that this top is fine for petites, too and it would come passed my knees.

I am 5'4 1/2 so can go either way, depending.  I used to be 5'5. I like Marla Wynne who does a cropped pant that works for all. I thought about Amy she is tiny but is 5'2 and shows what the length would be on her. She did that the other night with a long blouse.

Yep, I know what you mean.... I purchased a cardigan because the host and designer both said even if you are petite this will be fine on you....But the reality was it came down to my ankles and was sent back.....  Thats why if there's no petite sizes, no petite model I dont purchase... And I dont go by Amy either, she says she petite but the length on pants, dresses, skirts, coats, sweaters are skewed because she wears stilettos...

You cant go by Amy she always wears those high high heels .....  to see the proper length she needs to wear a "kitten heel" or flats, or sandals etc etc so the true length can be judged....
