I've been watching the Q again after quite a long absence of not watching and I'm wondering why QVC is now emulating Disney and only having items for limited periods then not ordering more for the rest of the year. Why? That doesn't make them more money if they sell out and don't bring it back for a year. I don't get it. What's the point of all this "get it now because you won't see it for another year?" I mean, I get that it's a ploy to get people to buy the item NOW but what about later? They aren't selling the item after it's been sold out so how do they make money that way? It's just annoying me that I may want a product I can't afford right now, but they don't plan on ordering it again for another year so I can't even put it on my wish list because it sells out. I don't get why Disney does it and I REALLY don't get why QVC thinks it's a good idea in the long term.
Just curious.
