I know there are three channels now, but the Q keeps changing how they organize home page and it is confusing.    Too many Specials  (TSV, weekly),  too many ways to access the products ( by type, by channel), Sweepstakes, Cyber Week,  Gift goals..   Can you please go back to the old format?  I don't even check it anymore.  I'm hoping - once the Xmas season is over, the homepage will be easier to use.

I agree.  I absolutely hate that Pop-up ad at the bottom of the home page.  I would be in the middle of looking for something and that ad would pop-up.  Very annoying!

As I indicated before on a similar post, the home page is an absolute mess these days.  Way, way, way, way, way, way too busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My problem with QVC is they never settle on a web design. It feels like someone wakes up each morning and says: “Hey, I’ve got an idea...”.  Every. Single. Day.

 

I know websites are usually updated, but in my opinion, a website also should have some period of stability.

I like the consistency of knowing where on the page I go to navigate through the site. I don’t want to have a treasure hunt. Small differences are good to keep things fresh, but annoying site users isn’t. Pop ups annoy me because I see them as disruptive rather than intriguing. 

 

Lots of posters left the boards because they did not want to relearn how to navigate this site or use the features, even though they enjoyed posting here. Same with the main shopping page annoying users. And I agree, the layout is too busy and cluttered. Too many shiny objects at once.

I couldn't agree more @LexaMom, it is WAY to busy !   They should pare down the home page dept. and start beefing up the the shipping and refund dept's !!

I agree! And that new "Special Offers and Finds" box that pops up and covers things is so annoying, especially on my mobile devices.

 

It's all just too much and I feel like it keeps changing and things keep getting moved around. It's just become a chaotic mess for the holidays.

 

It's like the developer is sitting in a conference with a team of non-designers shouting "Add this!" "Add that!" and "Put that up there now!" without any kind of design plan.

Isn't it funny that before this messy home page there were no complaints about it yet for some reason (not for the customer) it had to change adnauseam.  The same with the wish list.   I never saw any complaints on the previous version of the wish list, yet it had to change, again not for the customer.

I couldn't agree more. I have given up on trying to find something on the home page. I find myself having to scroll up and down more than once, should not have to do that. I end up searching for an item or just plain give up and look on another website. Not a good way to do business. Maybe after the holidays they will switch it back to something more simple, but I'm not holding my breath.
