I swear they must have hired a bunch of Christmas help.  I get a package today.  Doorbell rings and I was on phone, so I hang up and see box at my step.  UPS still in street and I pick it up, and I am thinking , I have not ordered anything from Amazon.  Look down and see my neighbors name and address.  Yes, I could have walked it over, but these guys need to learn to read.  My house is blue with White house numbers.  You have to be blind to not see it.  So I ran down the driveway and said wait!   He comes out and I said this is not my package. Oh I am so sorry.  I said see the numbers on my house don't match the ones on this package.  LOL    He says oh I love your parrot.  I thought don't try to buutter me up.  Lol

No wonder packages are lost.

Re: Watch for your UPS packages

i had a package delived at my doorstep from Amazon that belonged to my neighbor. I delivered it to their door. I don't see the big deal. UPS is overloaded these days due to Christmas. So, if you can do a kind thing to help them that would be nice.

@Kachina624 I don't understand why they don't double check the house numbers?  This guy was young so he didn't have bad eyes.

Re: Watch for your UPS packages

My regular UPS man is great and he "hates" the holiday help, he has a few choice works about who they hire

Because they are doing it to often.  It is their job to deliver to the correct address.  Believe it or not,  a lot of people would keep the stuff.  If my house number wasn't visible I could understand but again , it happens too often.

@I am still oxox      Well that is why I wanted to point it out to him.  I am not sure if we have same UPS guy all the time.  They tend to not even ring the doorbell, and run back to the truck.

At least they left your package in the vicinity. I have a package due that UPS says they can't locate.

@giova   They delivered two packages of mine during the Summer at my neighbors house.  They are the type of people not to give it to you.  I saw it had been left on my front porch.  Well, it was not.  I called them and they said well did you look around the neighborhood?  I thought WHAT!  So I did walked up and down looking at everyones front door and nothing.  I call them back and said you need to send the driver over here NOW and he needs to get these packages from where ever he left them.

He said you need to call QVC and Amazon and they can put a tracer on them.  I said No,  I won't do that.  This is your drivers problem, not QVC, and or Amazon.  He said well I don't know if he will have time today and I said well he better find time because he delivered over 100.00 worth of stuff somewhere other then my house.  He was at my door 15 minutes later with my packages.  Lol

Re: Watch for your UPS packages

We had a package delivered dropped off at the house last week from Harry & David for or neighbor.  We walked it over to their house. I would like to think our neighbors would do the same.

This time of year is STRESSFUL for UPS. We have a friend of ours who is a Manager at the NYC warehouse and he says there is NO vacation until mid to late January.
