I was watching Jane Treacy on Jane's closet this afternoon and after a break she came back and said she had changed from the Clark's shoes to her own shoes because the Clark's shoes had to go back to the warehouse.  Do the hosts wear shoes and clothing then return them to the warehouse to be sold?

I get the impression that some of the "as is" clothing items could have been worn by hosts or models, as well as customer returns.

I don't know for sure, but all the "As Is" products come with a disclaimer that includes this:

"This item may be a customer return, vendor sample, discontinued inventory, or on-air display and may not be new".

So could be Woman Wink

It would be fun if the host left a handwritten note in the shoe: "Jane Treacy was here. Hope you like these shoes as much as I did!"

Maybe that was a discreet way of saying, "They HURT".....

If the shoes are being worn in the studio for an hour or so by a host this is not really different from people trying them on and walking around the shoe store and a pretty good deal if they are sold at a reduced price.

@LuvmyLab I used to shop at the QVC outlet store in Frazer PA. (I haven't been there in awhile as I have been trying to cut back on shopping). Anyway, one of the sales associates at the store told me that some of the items in their (outlet)  inventory were worn by the hosts or the models. There were also items that were that were not worn, but were used for the still shots that you see pictured on line and on air. (all of this in addition to the inventory that they sell that is overstock and customer returns). This store is very close to QVC Studio Park, so I guess it made sense that they had items that were worn by hosts and models.

The hosts and models also have to "return" what they wear on air to the warehouse when an item is still active since it will be used on air again.

Yes, they do. That is what many of the "as is" items are. I have purchased several "as is" and they must have been ones that were used as a display or on a model, because they looked brand new! Have never sent an "as is" back, even though you have 30 days to return them for whatever reason.

And the "as is" items I have bought are usually at least 50% off the regular price.

When you try shoes on in store you’re supposed to wear socks or those little feet hose.

Jane is absolutely never wearing socks. That totally grosses me out her bald foot is in a shoe that someone else could later be wearing. And she does this dozens of times in a show.

As Is tops and pants, great, those can be washed. Huge eww to As Is shoes...for me.
