I woud like opinions from customers in regards to the sizing of "Waistands" on pants in particular. I am a "Petite Large" now and I am finding that the "Waistbands" on the pants are very tight and there is very little stretch in them. My waist measures about 42 inches which for me is hard to believe but, it is what it is as I have gotten older amd my hips are more in the range of the Petite Large pants. It is a dilemma because the "Pants" never fit me at the "Waistband" as it is, is too tight and there is not enough "Stretch" in it! At one time they used to be made with more stretch in the "Waistband" to accommodate a larger waist also, but no longer! I have returned many pants because of this! Are there any other customers out there that have this same issue? If I go up a size larger it would be "Huge" on me and it is very frustrating! They are probably using a "Cheaper Elastic" in their "Waistbands" so they don't have the same give and stretch that they used to, to accommodate a larger waist and thereby they save money that way. That is all that I can think of as to why they are not the same anymore! What is your opinon? I wish QVC would look into this manaufacturing "Flaw" as I see it!

SweetSpice - I'm so glad you are addressing this!!! Manufactures need to make
the waistbands wider!!! I am disproportionate waist/hips/thighs. My waist is a
size medium, but my hips and thighs are a size small. So if I buy the medium for the waist, which is usually too tight anyhow, the pants are baggy on my rear and thighs.
Who know what manufacturer makes a high rise wide waisted pant?
Girls, pa-leeze don't tell me I can have have the pants altered, I'm aware of that. 😂

Looking at the size guide, you may need to go up a size to get a proper fit in the waist.

I have the same problem with my waist. If I go up a size, the pants just hang. The pants that fit me the best was Denim & Co Easy Stretch. They always show how the pants stretch but don't show the waist. It is very difficult without seeing them in person.

Keep in mind you are buying OFF THE RACK clothing.
Hypothetical example:
A size 12 pair of slacks could be cut to accommodate women from 5'1" to 5' 10" and she could weigh anywhere from 120 to 140 pounds.
She could have a pear, apple or straight figure.
That size 12 is meant to cover a very broad range of height, weight and body type.
Unless you're just buying leggings with massive stretch, for many, a little tweaking or tailoring might be necessary.
None of the garments here are custom-made just for us.

I find most pants, especially jeans, are much too large in the waist. I must have belt loops so i can keep them up with a belt. Can't wear those pull-ons with the wide elastic. They easily slip down my backside...not a good look. Most of Kim's pants are a no-no for me.

That doesn't work, if you go up in size for the waist,
they don't fit anywhere else, they are HUGE! And yes, I KNOW they can be altered. That to me is such a hassle, for everyday running around pants, no.

Oo, thanks, I'm going to check out the Denim & Co. easy stretch. You are right, you have to try pants on. More 'n' likely they will be returned.

You know your waist size, scroll down the item description and you will see the "click here" for the garment measurements. For every garment sold on QVC you can see the exact measurements, it will tell you the waistband measurement and if it has stretch, the extended measurement. That will be your best friend when you are shopping. I look at that for every garment I buy on QVC, because I'm either looking for the waist measurement, the bust measurement, or the inseam.
