I am so sick of receiving items, whether clothing or home decor, where the color is NO WHERE CLOSE to how it is pictured or even appears on tv sometimes.  One would think as big a company as they are they could get this situation straightened out.

IMO if an item comes and the color looks totally 100 percent different, it is a wrong item!

I have never had this happen to me.

I am VERY picky about color choices and matching.

I study the colors on my computer, and look at all the videos online in advance several times.

I know the bright studio lights can sometimes make colors more intense, so I try to see the items from different angles, and sometimes I watch different videos of the same items being presented by different hosts.

Maybe it is your television? (or your eyes?)

I've never had that happen to me.  I'm also very particular about color and everything I've gotten has been the color.

The only difference is when they name a color something like olive, yet the TV and online photo clearly looks more tan.  Since I want more of a tan color I ordered it and sure enough it looks tan = happy customer.

100% different color?  I'm confused.  What is that, you ordered yellow and they sent navy?  You can always return free of charge and let them know they sent the wrong item in that case.

@just wonder   I find it interesting your claim is that this issue has happened several times. I have been a customer since 2004 and after countless items I have ordered through the years, this had never happened to me...not even once.

Could it be the color on your tv and/or your computer that is off a bit?  Since this has happened to you multiple times and other posters, including me, have not had it happen at all, it might be something to consider.

I know the color on my tv is "off" so I don't depend in it being accurate and check other sources.  I've had trouble with aquas being little more than mint green but QVC does that consistently.  Otherwise I've had no problem.

So are you ladies saying you have never seen an item presented where it appears to be one shade by the host in the studio and a different shade by the vendor rep presenting in her home?

I would never order something I could not determine the intensity of the color.

Yes, pretty much I would say that.  It might appear slightly different, it does to me from TV to my computer....but it is SLIGHT.

Never rec'd anything that was that far off since CVN.

I've never had that happen whether on my tv or iPad or iPhone.  The color names might not be what I would call it, but they always look exactly as expected.

The best advice is to check the color and tone settings of whatever you're using to shop.  @just wonder

I have never returned an item due to color.

Could it be that your monitor is showing reddish or blueish?  That can be adjusted.
