   Happened to me abt 5 yrs ago where I had bought a couple of items in 2 different sizes  for Christmas because my daughter was between sizes . Well, sent the returns back in one box as self pay . Didn't catch this right away that I was charged the $6.95 on each item  till it happened again on a different return .

QVC will also  charge the $6.95 if you send  something back as an exchange and they don't have it in stock . You have to check like a detective each time you send anything for exchange .  Have never had any other company do this .

@skatting44.  If you return multiple items in same box, qvc policy is that you be charged the $6.95 for EACH item.  Once in awhile, it happens they forget and people sneak by but that's the policy.

@skatting44 - That is interesting. I thought when self pay for a return, the address it gets sent to is different than if using the label to return.

@Sakuya

  Yes , I sent it back via my self pay Priority mail service to the address  that all the clothing  items had on the return label. The point is that I was still being charged $6.95 for each item despite  already paying the  mail service fee .

I am so glad you posted about returns! Watch the Q like a hawk is an understatement! I went to exchange  a pair of Denim & Co. pants for the same item in a DIFFERENT LENGTH come to find out that is why the Q gives different item numbers to the same product.  Customer service tells me they will charge me because the item has TWO DIFFERENT NUMBERS one for petite and one for regular lengths.   She ended up doing the even exchange (I too am a customer of thirty + years).  But that IMHO is bait and switch! Every time you turn around they stick in a new rule.

What happen to exchange any item any time for whatever reason?

@Nitefall

That is NOT bait and switch though....not at all.

While I agree that is stinky, it IS clearly stated in the return policy.

I don't see why I can't exchange a petite for a regular or tall...it's the same item!

However, it is stated it must have the same number.

Sometimes, Tall/Reg/Pet have their own item number.

  • Some items cannot be exchanged but may be returned for a refund. We’re only able to exchange items that are currently in stock. If we don’t have the item in stock, we’ll refund you the amount of your original purchase. Please note that we can only issue exchanges for items with identical item numbers.

@skatting44 - I wonder if the return label address is the one that the easy returns go to. I think I had to find the self pay return address online the last time I did it that way.

Also keep an eye out if you utilize flex payments. I've returned some items that they received, but kept on charging the flex payments. That took me a long time to straighten out over the phone.  I keep track of everything up until I get that credit showing on my credit card account.

Just one more reason that I try not to order from QVC if I can find the product elsewhere.

I've been restricting my orders to those things I'm sure I will not be returning. Of course, if the item is defective than I would have to return and follow up.

This has severely limited my purchasing of shoes or clothing and makes me think long and hard about other items.

I don't have any return issue with other stores I buy from online.

One of the many reasons that QVC is losing sales and the PTB are clueless.

@Loves Cats 80.  If you'll use the QR code it'll eliminate any errors and makes the process super simple at either ups  or usps.  Instructions in the CS section under "returns".

It's not a bait and switch.  Different lengths have always had different item numbers.   When they say exchange for color or size, they mean with the same item number / length.

TBH I can't even imagine returning for length when that info is in the item info.  My desired pant length hasn't changed in decades.  If a length was marked incorrectly then they should waive the return fee.
