Valerie Glitter and Tchotcke overload

[ Edited ]

 The Valerie show overnight.....

SHEEESH!!!

I guess the Dollar Store DID find the QVC warehouse after all.

Too much.

Who has to clean up all that glitter when it's done?

And who displays that stuff??? Figures, villages, snow globes all going at once, consuming batteries, glittering, that "red truck", the pillars, the "Sugared" nutcrackers...all presented in the wee wee whispery voice ...

I turned it off when those peppermint ball "picks" ( only 50 dollars!!!) came on and Valerie was showing how to use them ...

Seriously I thought I was having a glitter and sugar nightmare!!! I couldn't turn it off....it was so hypnotic!!!...The glitter....the snow globes.....the color morphing....!!!!

And the PILLARS....!!! Pillars all over the place, with glittery candles, figures, garlands, berries  mounted on them "just so"....

Gotta give credit to the QVC host on that show....she put on a stellar performance trying to wring something positive out of this tired dime store collection....

thank goodness Commercial Christmas is soon here so it will be over.

Then we only have to wait unitl Easter 2023 ...for Christmas in JULY to begin again..

Re: Valerie Glitter and Tchotcke overload

Looks like I'm in the minority again on this subject. I love glitter and don't mind if it's everywhere. There's just something about Christmas decorating that calls out for it. Every and anything is fair game for me. I will admit that very few things of VPH's has caught my eye this year but I'm guessing it's because of supply issues with China. I think all vendors are trying to find out how to survive. I don't shop in the dollar stores usually, but I really have never seen anything that compares to VPH's offerings. They may have knock-offs but when you look closely I can see a difference. The only thing I don't want glitter on during Christmas is my Nativity set.

I didn't see this show but sometimes I will watch and see all of her pretty

things. It's just fun to see but don't go that route anymore.

I remember when she did the "head tilt" while she whispered.

Awww, not fair to mock her. She's a lovely woman, genuine.

I am not interested in her offerings either, but for the most part, they are very pretty, and of interest to many.

To me, this years holiday offerings were not good. I don't like glitter that falls off everywhere, and cheap looking tchotchkes. There were no beautiful candle rings, or high end decor. It looked like Home Goods or Christmas Tree Shop.

@Othereeeen , you paint a vivid and hilarious picture! Thanks for the laughs!

The effect of all that stuff is very charming, but no way for me-

Re: Valerie Glitter and Tchotcke overload

I don't buy any Christmas decorations that have glitter or is flocked.  Both are a mess waiting to happen.
