@Love my grandkids   OMG, I was joking about discrimination-- just couldn't think of a better word.  Yes, some businesses use this tactic to attract new customers,  while  others offer discounts to new and the faithful to keep their business.  JMO!  Oh, there's no monsters under my bed, just dust bunnies.

Usually, when HSN does this, the offer is only good if you are using your HSN card. Maybe that is what the issue was - did the OP use a Q card or another card? If she didn't use a Q card, it wasn't eligible?
