Look at your posts containing quotes and compare those to other posts quoting other posters (like this one for example).
In yours it's hard...... sometimes impossible........ to tell where the quotes stop and your words start.
@esmeesmerelda No one else seems to have issues with my typing. I always try to copy and paste the previous post as I did here. If my posts are hard for you to follow then just skip over them.
Many people here don't know how to post properly. (Way that makes sense) the last paragraph is to esmeesmerelda. The rest I don't know. I skip over and ignore. Much easier than trying to figure out.

@BalletBabe, quoting correctly on a message board really does help the rest of us. And it's easy.
After you click on "reply" to a post, you'll see the word "QUOTE" right above the reply box on the right. Click on it and the quote to which you are replying will appear.
Then write your reply beneath it. Then we can easily distinguish your reply from the quote.

@suzyQ3 Save your breath. Easier to ignore someone on the forums to cause trouble. There are three or so of them here, fairly new and all asking silly questions like how to post, etc. and then ignoring any help.

I realize that caps are taken as shouting but honestly it never affected me that way! I think very large caps in bright colors seem more like shouting, but that is just me!! ![]()

@BalletBabe Au contraire lol. Most people 'have issues' with posts hard to read. If you don't distinguish your reply from the others that is hard to read so yes some will skip over....... oddly I thought you posted with the goal of others actually reading what you have to say......... 🤔😉 As @suzyQ3 said the quote feature works for everyone else, that's why it's there, no reason to copy and paste.

They don't know and evidently don't care lol.
Good to see you btw @proudlyfromNJ.

@Shanus wrote:Caps mean shouting? Thought you use caps to for the title of your post (if you want) or in your post to emphasize a word.
All caps makes it looks like you are shouting or angry about something. I try to avoid them whenever possible. This site allows for emphasis text like bold, underlined, or italicized font, but others, like Facebook, do not and so many people use CAPS to emphasize a word. I try to limit that use of all caps.
This isn't new. Even back in the 80s when we were on dial-up modems on BBS boards we thought that ALL CAPS looked like shouting.

That literally made me LOL. ![]()

Great post @ChynnaBlue.
Yep, all caps reads as SHOUTING OR ANGRY
whether in the body of the post or the thread title. I think some people need more ATTENTION so ALL their thread titles are in ALL CAPS.....
lol.😉

Thanks for that nice explanation @suzyQ3.
I figured it out, but I avoided quoting anyone until I did.
I wish I'd read a How-to like your post. There are newer posters reading this and being helped.
