Also: i agree with other posters - who say : if u can not deal with good and bad posts..from people that are expressing their OWN opinions...you obviously do not understand the concept of having an opinion...qvc dictates what we see on these posts..and tries to take us to a land of unicorns and rainbows..but..c'mon..that just isnt real....

QVC is going to have to make the decision about the hosts and vendors and how they conduct themselves.  I am sure if the sales are good they will certainly leave them alone.  When things start to go wrong they will probably give the shows a second look.

In my case I don't watch live QVC or the other shopping channels for that matter.  I am too impulsive.. so I just check in with the forums, the reviews and the online version just in case I am looking for something or want to know about details (usually electronics or gadgets-- not easy to get help in stores anymore).

By buying online only (QVC-HSN-EBAY-AMAZON and various clothing catalogues) I am never annoyed by anyone.

I'm in the same kind of mood as you today.  I find it totally funny that people say they are not going to buy if they can't stand the people selling.  Does anyone honestly believe that?  Nothing gets in my way of a deal!  Nothing.  Carry on QVC......

I don't watch much anymore, but when I do and when I watched often, unless there was the all too rare time limited actual deal being offered or stock was really low on something I truly wanted (which, incidentally, really doesn't happen very often...) I very definitely would choose not to purchase when one of the few hosts I truly can't stand was making the pitch... As for the deals, they're far and few between here in the first place, so, well, there's little danger or of anything getting between one and the Q's essentially non-existent deals...

if you do not like the hosts, the vendors, the presentaitons, or the products, just change the flipping channel for crying out loud.  Whining and complaining is utterly pointless.

As long as they sell products and make a profit (which they do because some people do enjoy these hosts, vendors, nd products) and purchase the items, QVC will not change.  QVC exists to make money, and sales are important.  Entertaining you, alleviating your boredom, and catering their programming to people who do not purchase is not something they are going to do.

Nuff about the "change the channel"....I think we all know how to use a remote...

And according to their financial reports their profits are getting smaller and smaller....oops there goes your theory....Oh BTW QVC's CEO, Mike George, considers QVC an "entertainment" channel.....

You can kind of tell that a post will be a rant from the title. I f this kind of post is upsetting to you, don't read it. It's kind of like changing the channel. The poster can vent and you don't get

upset.

Some here sure must have a low tolerance for differing personalties (or be so bored with life that they watch purposely to find fault to amuse themselves) as many hosts/vendors annoy them so much.  Some appear to  watch QVC (and expect everything to be exactly as they like) to the point of such bordom that they find the need to nitpick hosts' personalities, makeup, hair and clothing.  I watch and buy because I want the product and nothing anyone ever says or does even makes any personal impression on me while I watch.  I don't however watch constantly expecting entertainment!  Everyone has differing personalities and it's ridiculous and an impossibility to expect everyone to conform to please everyone.

@Pook  Let's see Pook----

Low tolerance of other's personalities

Expect everyone to be exactly as they like.....

I don't know that you intended it but your post came off pretty high and mighty.  You have to realize people are different and expect different things from a shopping channel.  It would be pretty boring if we all had the same opinion.

I don't recall anyone asking for entertainment (which is too often what hosts try to do instead of selling).

What people want is a variety of high quality products.  Because Q has chosen to air the same 10-15 products over and over every week, people have become turned off.  I know I have.  I used to watch Q a lot but have watch about 6 hours in the last 12 months....with all of those occurring only on 2 days.

I was just showing amazement that some appear to have such a low tolerance for those whose personalities they find annoying on QVC that many do not even notice.  I actually like that the vendor and host are so positive and excitged  about a product that they talk at the same time and can hear what each is saying.   I never liked the old time cookie cutter host presentations that were oh so boring with no real excitement about the product they were presenting.   I just wonder how some get by out in the world if a shopping channel host/vendor can set them in such a tizzy.  I see so many really annoying traits displayed by so many while doing every day things and can't imagine what those (who become so annoyed by shopping channel hosts doing thier job) do when confronted by much more terrible behaviors in person!!  They are there in your face just about everywhere.  When out among others (who all have differing personalities, etc) it's not as easy as turning the channel when annoyed by the behavior/personalities of others.    I have never been able to not hear what is being said when both host and vendor are talking at the same time.  In life that often happens when many have things to say.  Life is way to short to be annoyed by a shopping channel host or vendor.  It sounds to me like the OP  let her annoyance/dislike of the host interfer with her hearing what was being said.

@Pook  It's definitely NOT the fact that the host and vendor are so excited about the product that they talk at once.......on some occasions they are talking about anything EXCEPT the product!!!! ---The host will even tell the vendor, let's go through the colors first, then I'll let you take over and go into detail about the garment....and the vendor won't even let the host finish going through the colors---and what information is the vendor providing "this would be perfect to wear to a wedding---do you know my daughter's getting married and I've been going crazy with the plans, you know the engagement party...................".(as she trails off)   And the viewer has no clue on the colors and they give them strange names to begin with....leaving the perspective buyer in a quandry.....but they got the details about the personal life of the host!!!!  Woman Very Happy      Or another complaint---inside jokes between host and vendor....or discussion of vacation...but no handbag measurements.....And I can't discern one conversation over another if THEY ARE BOTH TALKING AT ONCE!!!!---That's not professional...and it certainly isn't because they are "excited about the product"!!! .....I don't want the host/vendor to be robots but there's a difference between being competent and doing your job as a SALES PERSON and showing your personality AFTER you take care of business....then there's being over the top with yakking at once, or taking more time to talk about your personal life than the merchandise---THEY NEED TO GET THEIR OWN TALK SHOW!!!

And this applies in real life too---I was in a store and a sales associate came up to the cashier at the register and started arguing about their work hours and who should be staying and who overstayed their schedule, and she needed to stay on duty because what was the point of her raise if she didn't get in extra hours......I just put my merchandise on the counter and walked out of the store!!!!  And I did go online and share my experience with their executives too!!!

IF I AM EXPECTED TO BE COMPETENT ON MY JOB, I EXPECT OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!!!!

For example, what if you went into a doctor's office and the nurses and medical assistants were goofing around, laughing and joking, and doctor and his staff were all talking at once leaving you so confused you had no idea what your health condition was or treatment they were recommendin because you couldn't understand what the doctor was saying to you---would you just chalk  it up to well life's too short and I just got to deal with it....Or would you RUN not walk to some other doctor's office who was COMPETENT and PROFESSIONAL!!!  No QVC is not dealing with your health, but there is a level of competency and professionalism that is expected and information that needs to be conveyed so you can determine whether to make a purchase and QVC is in business to sell things---it's not in business to be a vehicle for the host and/or vendor to entertain themselves-
