I really like when my packages are delivered by UPS. Sometimes my packages are shipped by UPS than are delivered through USPS which is usually an extra day for two.

USPS cancelled its contract with UPS on January 1. Ths means UPS delivers whatever they shipi. UPS no longer drops off packages at USPS for delivery.

My gripe is that my UPS deliveries don't arrive until 7-8 PM.

Thank goodness! The UPS to USPS was getting rather tedious. The packages took extra days to be delivered. My UPS man won't be as happy, but the packages are arriving faster.

I like UPS better.  I just had a bad experience with USPS.  I shipped a smallish box to my daughter at college.  Shipped it USPS on January 6th and it was supposed to be a 2 day delivery.  It was going to the next state over, about a  hours drive for us.  It didn't get there until January 21st.  Tracking information just stopped at a couple of points.  Honestly, I thought it was lost.

@Krimpette ME TOO!!!!!  I hate that!  Our old neighborhood got daytime deliveries--now it's night since we moved a half mile away!  We are after the retail shops about two miles away, and they hit us or not on the way out of town. They cut through out neighborhood on the way out.

UPS deliveries arrive much more quickly.  Glad they ditched that Smart Post practice.

I've had bad experiences with both USPS and UPS.  UPS packages are usually stepped on and dirty w/footprints.

Kind of glad they stopped the contract between the two.
