Has anyone ever had this happen with UPS before? UPS emailed that they are investigating the lost package. It somehow went missing in transit.  I wonder if they ever have success locating the missing packages.

I can only count one or two lost UPS packages over the years.  Can't recall ever knowing if the eventually found the packages. My guess is that they somehow damaged the shipment and/or obliterated the label.

@homedecorator   It's happened to me.  I ordered some items from Target and the delivery person saw the Target name on the label and delivered it to the store.

It was signed for someone so I think that helped to trace it.  Regardless, no one at the local Target noticed and the package was never recovered.  I was hoping they would just give it back to the driver the next day and it would be delivered, but it never came - Target replaced the items.

Yesterday. I was out and about. I happened to pass a UPS truck. The back door of the truck was completely up so you could clearly see all the packages. I could not believe all the hundreds of packages. And this was in the afternoon. So the UPS driver had been out making deliveries for several hours.

And we haven't had Thanksgiving yet. I would hate to see what the truck looks like closer to Christmas. Not an easy job.

I only had this happen once. It was a small package and could not be located. I called the supplier and advised them of this and a replacement was shipped immediately.

Don't know if the original was found or returned to the sender. But I do find UPS to be great with shipping. Now, when they turn it over to USPS for delivery, I can add at least 2 days before I receive it and that is only if a weekend isn't involved.

I've had it happen once, but UPS didn't let anyone know.  I kept tracking and one day saw a comment that the package was damaged. UPS sent it back and I was given a refund.  I called the shipper and told them the story and they sent a replacement.  It wasn't handled very well on the UPS side.

Years ago I ordered some slippers for my daughter for Christmas from LLBean.  The package was lost & never found.  And LLBean was all out of the slippers by then so they couldn't send a replacement.

I had a package delivered to the wrong address. They asked me to check woth my neighbors to see if they had it.I refused to do that because I felt if my neighbors had the package they would have two chouces ..either drop it on my door or keep it.I don’t want to investigate my neighbors.Anyhow two or three weeks later we got a call from a neighbor who lived on another street. He had just returned from vacation and had found my packages. The two different companies we called to inform gave us a very nice credit for our honesty as we had already received replacements.

Yes, last week.  Tracking said package was loaded for delivery today........never showed up on my porch.  Talked to QVC - and UPS - they said it was delivered - I told UPS.........not at my house.   Once before mis-delivered to neighbor (for week) - but last weeks package hasn't shown up yet.

I just had the same problem yesterday with something I ordered from Costco.....Costco checked the shipper and the shipper said the item was lost....fortunately Costco will resend the item at no extra charge.  Everything anymore is going down the drain!
