Troll? - Page 3

I fell into the catagory, although not a new poster, I made a post once and someone just postefd some really snarky IMO offensive reply. I felt it was really a personal attack, I reported it and nothing ever happened. I stopped posting for a very long time. I don't post much but it's just not worth it to get personally slammed.

Now I know what you are making reference to, I can think of many reasons as I do not come here daily.

1. People often have lives until they get critically ill. They post when they are able but have bad periods when they do not feel well enough to post or read posts. It is something they do for stress releif.

2. People have jobs that they work very odd hours and may work for 6 days on before they get a day off (thus they are going to rest the 1st day off) and I would not expect they would be here on the Q posting.

3. People have families that visit with children and they have lonely periods in their lives until family members come to visit (at this time QVC is the last thing on their mind)

4. People are volunteers at the shelter (or many other organizations) and they have weeks it is their turn to work.

5. People post when they have all their housework and children in bed and at times they are too worn out to post

6. People have issues with their phones and/or computers.

I can think of many reasons why a person would only post here and not come back for a few weeks. I am one of them myself but I do try to go back and ensure I respond to everyone that responded to me. My issue ~ I am dying and I have great days and terrible days. On my great days, I actually go work at the shelter and soap kitchen on my bad days, I sleep 15-20 hours a day. I believe in God and may live 10 years as no one had a crystal ball and I hope that before I do die, we have Peace among all people.

Still not certain what a troll is on a forum and why they would be here but I certainly don't know much about this forum. Have a great Sunday.

This place has been a connection for me to so many people. I have to take a medication that makes it impossible for me to work so I am at home a lot. I have lots of interests and activities to keep busy but I love reading posts and topics and opinions.

Im in California so Im usually up late and seem to miss all the good stuff but for the most part this is a great place to be.

My OP was not to infer that all new posters are trolls or those that post rarily. It seemed to me that lately there have been several new posters that do not return. Just a benign observation.

i can see why new people might not come back here............the moderation

if I were new it would be so for me, but as I have been around for so long, I can't quit now.

I agree with you.

I have replied to many an inquiry for help on the Wellness forum only for the poster to never return or acknowledge reading any of the replies from anyone.
