To the Moderators About Advertising.

[ Edited ]

Hello. Smiley Happy

@Keyai, @Amy-QVC or anyone else who works at QVC, I know that it's a no-no to post about other websites that are having sales (like a store or online store that's not connected to QVC) because that's considered advertising.

But is it all right to post about other websites that are having a sale IF the vendor is connected to QVC? For example, let's say philosophy is having a sale on their own site. But they also make a lot of sales on QVC. So even if philosophy is having sales on their website, if won't take business away from QVC since philosophy is already on QVC.

Put simply, is it all right to post about sales from other vendors IF that vendor is already working with QVC?

Thanks for your time. Smiley Happy

Re: To the Moderators About Advertising.

If someone is buying a product like Philosophy on their website or another one other than QVC isn't that taking business from QVC?

Of course it does, because if you buy that item on sale at Philosophy's site, you aren't buying it at QVC.

I see. Still, I would like to know what is exactly acceptable and not acceptable to QVC.

Re: To the Moderators About Advertising.

That was a good example, because I buy almost all my Philosophy on its website and not at QVC.  No S&H with a minimum $50 and they also run specials with no minimum for free S&H, sales, gifts with purchase often (like today's offer), free samples you pick when you order, etc. etc.  Unles there's a phenomenal TSV being offered or a product only available on QVC, IMO it never pays to buy Philosophy from QVC, esp. now that they don't refund the S&H charges.

It must depend what you buy.  All I've bought recently is Purity and Miracle Worker moisturizers.  You absolutely couldn't beat QVC prices last time i bought.  Maybe TSV's, but I don't really remember why they were so well priced.

I purchase several things directly from the Philosophy site as well. Especially during the month of March when they celebrate their birthday.

I hope that one of the moderators will answer the question.

I imagine most people could find the Philosophy site without a link.

I believe what the OP is asking is the following. If Philosophy is having for an example a sale for 30% off on their site. Can you post that information with the code without it being removed.

I've observed that promo codes are a definite no-no.
