The QVC Story - Part One on Youtube

As a QVC viewer from almost the beginning, it was a blast to look back on the early days and see how it all began. It was interesting to hear what some of the hosts had to say about their start with the company. Getting to see clips of those early days and seeing how young the hosts were was so nostalgic for me. I can't wait to see the next installment!

I didn't know it was available on Youtube. I'll watch it. I've been watching Qvc since '92.

Thanks.

geezerette - Thank you for posting this - It was wonderful seeing the hosts when they started and the story of how it all began.  Everyone was so young! (myself included lol).   I have been a customer since the beginning and I miss all the wonderful vendors and merchandise they used to have.  I have so much of Nolan Miller, Kenneth J Lane and most of all, Joan Rivers.  I remember when Joan was scheduled to be on, I used to take a personal day or call in sick so I would not miss her shows.  There were so much variety and excellent quality I really miss those days. We used to dress up in those days and sadly these gorgeous pieces are just sitting in my closet but I look at them occasionally as they are truly exquisite.  And the Diamonique - gorgeous.

I enjoyed watching it too.  Reminded me of the first time I ever saw QVC. It was 1990 or 1991. My then-future mother-in-law was watching it.  In those early years she bought me two porcelain dolls and a birthstone ring. I started watching it occasionally not long after, and have been a customer ever since.  I specifically remember Mary Beth Roe.

Re: The QVC Story - Part One on Youtube

In the beginning I assumed QVC was an all jewelry channel because whenever I would scroll through the channels, I would see them presenting a jewelry piece. I never stopped long enough to see it was more than jewelry they were selling. Then one day my sister mentioned she had called QVC to order something and was asked if she would like to speak to the show host at the time. That's when I became curious and started to watch, and I've been hooked ever since. That was around 1989 or thereabouts.
