Tarte 4 piece mascara set with gift bags

I purchased the set and opened the first one because I was in need of mascara. So disappointed. I had to apply multiple coats. It did not make my lashes lush and full as promised. I even think it is dried out. Am I going to have to send the entire box back now. Oh my. Always issues.

That's a real shame! They probably are dried out.

Thanks for your review, as I had these in mind for stocking stuffers, now I know better and will delete them.

that is disappointing. Lately I feel like I don't want to order anything online-nothing unless there can be absolutely no suprises or issues. I hate having to return things.

It also seems like every mascara I've gotten this past few years lately is dried out and that is from a store so maybe It's better to buy nothing at all!

For the last 3 years I have bought Lash Paradise: under $10 at CVS. Never dried out / always consistent application and a finished look.

After the first application, I go back and use a tip from @Shanus: use the brush in a vertical direction, root to tip. This " stands the lashes up " for a longer look.

I ordered Josie Marian's mascara and it was dried out. So I ordered Tarte's 3 mascara and am on the first tube. Does nothing for me. I didn't return Josie's because I was lazy so now I feel like I have to use up these 3 tubes to not waste money. Back to Covergirl cheap mascara that actually works.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Thank you for that suggestion. I do do the vertical thing after the horizontal, which does help but I have to be careful with clumps.

I don't buy it if it isn't cruelty free. Cover Girl is now but sometimes theirs is dried out too. It all depends on the restocking I guess.

I never remember so many mascaras being so dried out when new!

I'm having trouble with mascara drying up really fast also. Doesn't seem to matter what brand or where it's purchased.

Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes I like, but the last few tubes are drying out super fast. It costs too much to replace every 2 weeks.

Feel like cosmetic companies are taking advantage of customers.

Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes looks like the company spends most of the money on the purple exterior fancy tube, instead of putting more mascara in the tube.
