Saw him this early AM. Really like him. He reminds me of Dave King.

There have been a lot of positive posts about this new host, TJ.   I'm looking forward to seeing him.

I've seen 2 of the other new ones and they did a good job too (McGroff and another one).

He has enormous potential.

As a seasoned, show biz pro he has the requisite charisma and knows how to connect to an audience.

I'll agree with others who note that his presentations can be a bit awkward and clumsy, but with more on-air experience that is easily corrected.

Since he hasn't been on long enough,  I can neither praise him nor bury him at this time.

Meet Our Host - QVC

Thomas Anthony Jones (TJ) is no stranger to a film set. He began his professional career behind the scenes as an intern and production assistant at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.

After a few years, TJ booked roles on sitcoms, print ads and national commercials. He credits his education at Bowling Green State University and its Media Production and Studies program for his early success.

Born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, TJ moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams to act and produce. When he’s not on TV, TJ’s most likely planning an adventure to another city to explore, eat, and immerse himself in local culture.

It's no wonder TJ has family all over: in Cleveland, Chicago, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Alabama. If you’re at the airport, there's a chance TJ could be there, too.

He shoots, he scores. TJ's a fitness fanatic and his favorite sport’s basketball. Fun fact: he dribbled and dunked at Warner Bros. Studios with the cast and crew of many shows, including Will Smith and George Clooney.

TJ lives the no-bad-days lifestyle, in large part, to his faith. He has an insatiable desire to learn, squash challenges, sample desserts, and genuinely connect with others.

TJ does have a pleasant and friendly demeanor with a nice, calm voice. However, I'm always surprised at how poorly prepared he is for his presentations based on his acting background—you would think he'd be able to memorize a few details about five or six items to be presented in an hour-long show, but he either gets buried in reading from his cards or contributes little more than a "wow, that's great" type of reaction as the vendor does all the presenting. It would also be helpful to see him present items he's more familiar with; he admits (too often at times) that he doesn't know anything about kitchen or home decor items, yet those are the subjects of the shows he is most often selected to host. I think this is likely why he's still on Q2—he needs more time and practice to polish his work while interacting with seasoned vendors who can support him. He seems to have a lot of potential, though!
