Um? Huh? Where are you reading these "numerous threads across forums"??

Links, please.

Also, why are you posting this? Just wondering…{#emotions_dlg.huh} Considering they have moderators. Are you a moderator or applying? {#emotions_dlg.blink}

Hi, ical!

Here's the thread that prompted this one. There have been others, but I don't keep track of them.

Deleting all opinions QVC.... Why?

I'm sorry if you're unhappy with this thread, but it's not against the standards and I was hoping it would be helpful. As you know, any of us are allowed to post threads and comments, and I think that's a good thing. I seldom start new threads, gave it careful thought before launching this one, and I'm guessing those uninterested will pass it by.

Thanks for you post.Smile

It is their website (their being QVC). They have the right to delete anything they choose. No one's writing War & Peace here, so what is the big deal? This is not a child's website. If some posters go over the line, then they are lucky they are not banned, imo,

dooBdoo, this is exactly the kind of thing that happens on every thread, it is so hard to maintain composure. Some people just can't be nice no matter what. The tone of this comment is unreal.

Thank You for starting this and trying to keep things civil.

Don't worry, be Happy!

Great comments, everyone! I don't start threads often, so this is a rarity. My thanks to all of you for taking the time to express your thoughts.

dooBdoo, do you think you could teach a class in patience and how to post on the boards without letting other people get us all bent out of shape? If you figure out a way to do it, I'll be first in line! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I would like to add, since you cannot support your claim "numerous threads across the forums", you should change it to reflect the number* of links which can support (allegedly) your claim (again, based on your subjective assessment).

*You only gave one link. Far from numerous, imo.

^This. So much this. Though, I've learned that responding really nicely to them sometimes works. Can't argue with someone who won't argue back.

Re: *** Suggestions and concerns about the moderation of QVC Community forums ***

Just for some information, I've been involved in "numerous" threads in different forums where frustrations, suggestions, etc. have been made about how the boards are moderated, and how can we better understand what we can and cannot do. The moderation, by reason of what it is, is subjective to say the least, but it should also be fair. JMHO

The tone? Tones on comments are given to the comment by the reader. It was a very pleasant tone.

I do realize standards of use may blow some people's minds…but the fact of the matter is, the board can delete any post, comment, thread, forum, or completely abandon the idea of a community forum for users to freely use, altogether.

Standards of use are very lenient here. This is a very pleasant forum, all of them are, imo.

@dooBdoo, sorry that your thread is already going south. It was a good try. If this thread gets deleted, which I hope it doesn't, you can always try again in another sub-forum. But I hope this one gets to stay. Smile

Anyway, I'll stop now with the random banter and actually agree with another poster about the QVC staff considering adding a list of words that aren't allowed. That way, people will definitely know for a fact which words are not allowed.

Re: *** Suggestions and concerns about the moderation of QVC Community forums ***

I wish the moderators would treat all of us equal.

I have seen comments get deleted for no reason and others remain that are so full of venom it is ridiculous. I have seen comments that clearly violate the forum guidelines yet they remain.

I think that is one of the problems with posters, no one knows what really can or can't be written because of the discrepancies in deleting by the moderators. The standards should be the same for every person on these boards.
