@iamaoldhippie I agree we would pay more but like @GinaV24 said, would like that option.

Only time of year UPS moves on weekends is during their peak season during end of year holidays. Of course for overnight or two day shipping they do move on weekends but the rate is steep for that service. Of course, all of this is negotiated in the drivers union contract. Personally I’m okay with them not moving on weekends most of the year because still feel they are a far superior carrier.

@Kindaglitzy  Yep, I agree. I'd wait thru the weekend to get my package delivered directly by UPS, rather than have it wander all over the place which delays it far more than the weekend.

 

Plus large companies can negotiate delivery rates. I know my company does it with UPS and FedEx.

I just cancelled my order for the TSV sheet set because it came up "Advanced Order" after I ordered it and it wouldn't be shipped out until a week or so later. That would not be so bad if a got it only a few days later BUT my previous order from Valerie Parr Hill took TEN days to get to me after I ordered.
That's not good service at all. QVC needs to fix their shipping issues.

Also I wanted to order the Ninja Storm but the regular expected date is 8/5. That is TEN days from now from now!  What is going on?

I agree QVC is having issues.  But what I noticed is once I order, in the old days things seem to ship within 24 hours.  Now it can be 3, 4 or 5 days before they ship.  Very disappointing it takes so long to ship.  By then I am starting to rehink my purchase.

I ordered a Gili dress late June~ way too big~returned early July for exchange~it is now early August and still have not recieved my exchange.  Free exchanges?  GREAT! everyone offers that but I will think twice to order clothes again.
