Has anyone else had problems with the zippers and stand Herman's robes?  One that I got from him had the zipper glued in rather than sown in.  I was very disappointed, and since I no longer have a sewing machine I had to sew the zipper in by hand.

@Gkhm   Yes, yes.  I have two robes ready to trash.  One the cheap plastic zipper broke and the other became unattached at the bottom and worked its way upward until about 10" was not attached, making it impossible to use.  His new robes are very thin, cheap junk basically.  He should be embarrassed.

That's too bad. He used to make such high quality robes.

Agree and totally disappointed with the poly iteration of his robes.  I would be willing to pay the increase for a 100% cotton chenille robe from Stan as he offered years ago.  If I had known he was going to poly I would have bought several to have in reserve.  So sad!

I have one of his seersuck robes that I bought around 2000. I replaced the zipper about ten years ago. But after that long, I can't complain.

I aslo have one of his chenille robes that I bought in the late 90's, never had any zipper problems.

I have one of his robes that I would guess is at least 10 years old. I put it away for most of the year because it's too hot to wear here in the south. But when it starts to get cooler, it's such a great robe. Never had any problems with the zipper. It's a shame the new ones are not like that.

Shame on Stan Herman. He is another who has succumbed to cheap fabrics from China to churn out his profits.

I have two older SH robes that I love. Only problem is I spilled something on one of them right by the zipper. My dog thought it tasted good and ate a hole in the robe. Now I zip the robe up as far as it goes and then pin the top part where the hole the dog ate is. ROFL.
