Yesterday I was flipping past the channels and I paused on Q because Amy Stran was on and she's one of the only ones I stop and watch. She was selling a Halloween spook house that fit over the top of a Slatkin candle. It was weird! The candle was supposed to 'shine thru' the windows of the house and make it look lit up (haunted). But the windows were positioned so that the candles did not flicker at the right height to illuminate the windows. Slatkin said "light the candles" and Amy kept saying "they are lit".

Did anyone else notice this?

@christikate  Yes, it was almost impossible to see any light coming out of that haunted house. It could have had something to do with the studio lights. I don't buy any spooky decor, so I was just along for the ride. I really like it when Harry presents his candles, but I don't buy because DH and I are very sensitive to most scents.

I looked back to find the item. Here it is and it's priced at $100!

I like his scent options but rarely have had any luck with the throw.  I quit buying them. So faint and burn fast  especially  with four wicks. I dont mind his shows.

A variety of reed diffusers including summer and fall scents were at Ross for $8.99.

I have been buying his products for what seems like decades from his site directly, the  Q and BBW.  I will say that lately it seems like his products are not as good as in the past.  I just tossed out the vanilla almond candles after a few burns because of the wicks not behaving.  The diffusers that I loved at one time have gotten weak.  I use them in the laundry, room, closets and bathrooms.  Not huge rooms but it is to the point where I cannot smell them.  However, I will say that the Elton John collection last year was wonderful.  No issues with the candles or diffusers.  The aromas were noticeable and I enjoyed them all.  I may need to go back to Yankee Candle.

@christikate I did watch and saw that, and I thought I wouldn't buy it for that reason for sure. The light of the candle didn't even show through the house from either side.

The house was beautiful, but if you were going to buy it thinking how spectacular it would look with a lit candle, then you would be out of luck!
