If a manufacturer knows they will sell mostly black pants, why don't they MAKE mostly black pants?
If they know they will sell mostly smaller sizes, why not MAKE more small sizes? I am forever amazed at their surprise that XS-S-M , black pants sell out so quickly!!!

@Gkhm I do know what you mean. However, I think it's more of a problem with the Buyers just not ordering more in those sizes. I'm sure the manufacturers would be more than happy to make any given number. It never fails in my case too that if I don't order IMMEDIATELY my size with be gone 😟

@Gkhm. It makes no difference what the manufacturers make, it's what the buyers order that determines what's available to the customer.

@Gkhm Your post also reminded me of something funny that Susan Graver says all the time, "My manufacturer says she will NOT make this anymore." That's ridiculous and I wish she'd quit saying that. It essentially means, this item did not sell well so we're not going to re-order, 😂. That just annoys me for some reason.

Sometimes it means that they can no longer get the same materials, or the materials for the same price.

Probably the same reason they carry stuff in the grocery nobody wants but won't stock what we do want?

Wal-Mart here stocked KerryGold butter years ago. All the sudden they quit stocking it. The manager told me they no longer stocked it because it was not selling. I told him it wasn't selling because they didn't have any in stock to sell. He checked further back on inventory & could see it was selling. He had it put back in stock.
