Shipping keeps getting delayed

items are shipping although slower then usual from qvc which I get due to it being holiday time .   My issue is they sit for days at the first place they are sent to  before advancing .   then I track and it will state Exception we are trying to arrange shipping delivery as soon as possible!  It seems every other item is delayed while it is shipping !!  Anyone else finding this same issue ?

Yes. Several of my items are now showing delivery dates after Christmas. So much for that "guarantee" they repeated over and over.

Re: Shipping keeps getting delayed

My problem hasn't been with QVC but USPS.  Q ships my items out pretty quickly but then they sit somewhere for over a week.  That's because Q uses the cheap Mail Innovations as shipping carrier and it's terrible.  My purchases sit at a hub near my town for days and days before PO picks them up.

It's not just QVC @Kitty Galore . It took 2 weeks to get an order from Macy's. I have had multiple delays with Amazon. Below is just one  item, it was expected to be delivered 12/5. It got delayed over and over.

However, I do expect this at this time of year. For those of you that see their item hasn't shipped, it's not necessarily the case. I think businesses are so busy they can't keep up with the current status of our orders. I received an email TODAY that an item was being shipped. Well, I had ALREADY received it yesterday. Hang in there. Chances are you will get it. In my case, delays are always due to the carrier. Except of course, my Amazon deliveries. Twelve items purchased were delivered up to 3 weeks after the original delivery date given.

@Kitty Galore.  My recent clothing items shipped in one day and must have been shipped UPS Air because they made a 2 day trip in less than 24 hours.

Perhaps your items are vendor shipped.  There have been delays.

I totally agree @cjm61 .  My one order from macys was split into 4 separate packages.  Took over a week for any of them to ship.  Two were completely lost and Macys gave a refund no questions asked.  One got here, I'm still waiting for the last.  Ordered on dec 5th.

Target also lost 1 of my 3 orders.  They also gave me a refund because a replacement would not have gotten here in time.

No issues with any of my QVC orders that weren't caused by me.  Sent my sister and brother in law an order of ny bagels and put my own address in the ship to box.  😳😹

Re: Shipping keeps getting delayed

@Tori3569 Haha, the bagel story is funny. I did something like that. I ordered auto delivery from Jimmy the Bakers crumb cakes to be sent to my brother for his birthday. He loves those things.  I intended to change the address to be shipped to me for the 2nd delivery and forgot to do it.

Two months later my brother calls and says, thank you for more crumb cakes but did you mean to send me another dozen? Haha, I told him I forgot to change the address but he could keep them, he lives in another state. He was a happy camper.

Hi! @Kitty Galore 💚❤️

I also have at least 5 items with the Exception we are trying to arrange shipping delivery asap. This message is a result of a USPS shipping delay. The pkgs are over 1/2 way here and then it’s like they're stuck in limbo. 😂
I’m pretty sure we’ll get them in time for Christmas though.

We have Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime is like next day service, but it’s not lately. They must be swamped and I totally understand. Also waiting on a Sephora order that’s taking longer than usual. I wouldn’t want any of those delivery service jobs. They’ve got to be so stressful! 😩

Re: Shipping keeps getting delayed

Our poor UPS guy said they can't get any seasonal help this year.  He usually has a "runner" working with him during December, but not this year.  He said those that were hired lasted a few days then quit.  He said UPS even tried hiring deliverers that would just make deliveries using their own vehicles but even they only lasted a few days and then quit.

Re: Shipping keeps getting delayed

I always stop ordering for deliveries around the end of November.  Then I am anxious for all my shipments to arrive no later than the second week of December. I know the extra holiday help hired are never as good as the regular delivery staff. Also, I have to be more on the alert for delivery times due to the increase in porch pirates and shipment delays!

Luckily I have received everything except my wine advent calendar--twice UPS damaged the bottles and returned to sender before it even arrived to my home. QVC did the refund, so I am all okay.

I do not believe in ordering last minute, and then thinking I will have everything before the holiday deadlines.  Those who do so do it at their own peril, and then they rant sometimes that Christmas was ruined.  HA!  There are plenty of brick and mortar stores for procrastinators.

Happy Holidays, and may all your packages arrive safely and swiftly.
