I will no longer complain about QVC shipping costs.  I was in the process of ordering a simple summer dress from Vermont Country Store yesterday when I saw the shipping costs would be $14!  If it doesn't fit it will cost $8.95 to return it from the West Cost.  $23 to try it on?  No thank you, I will shop elsewhere.

They do offer free shipping with a $65 purchase but there wasn't anything else I needed.

Agree.....out of sight.  I just got burned returning pair of Naturalizer shoes = too Large.  Pd shipping to me - Fed X wouldn't accept original tracking number so I could ship shoes back for $6.96.  Paid at PO $14 to return and "N" charged me $6.95 anyway.  Could not get phone to be answered at Customer Service.

I'll only deal with a store and not their website.

I just got burned this week on a site when I got 3 things to get the free shipping and then 1 was out of stock.  So without asking, they just shipped 2 and tacked on shipping.

Re: Shipping costs

[ Edited ]

I think these increasing shipping charges are just beginning everywhere. Covid-19 has changed the way people shop, caused staffing shortages, business monetary losses and rising unemployment, not to mention the current sad state of affairs among the major shipping companies. Businesses, from retailers to shipping companies, will need to recoup their losses and do some restructuring. I think we'll see increasing shipping charges  for pretty much everything going forward. Outside of Amazon, I think the days of free shipping deals are about over. I'm increasingly buying from them because of their fast, free shipping and their speedy no hassle free return process.

Yes, QVC's shipping is quite low.  Was curious how much it would cost to send the box I received from QVC via UPS ground from its fulfillment center in North Carolina to my house.  I weighed and measured the box.

QVC charged $19.  UPS ground was $45.

The sites/catalogs I shop from all have higher shipping and return shipping than QVC.  I never complain about QVC's shipping rates.  Just spent $12.99 shipping for a pair of shoes.

Sometimes free shipping is offered but the prices of items are also higher than QVC.  An article similar to Graver at 49.95 was $69.95.

Here's my example that it pays to compare. Few months back, knowing I wouldn't see a loved one for their birthday, I ordered a cake from a company occasionally featured on QVC with products that sell out. The company's own website had a 25% off sale, with a shipping fee of $7.95. Worked out to be slightly cheaper than QVC.

Now for a July birthday I went to order the same product. This time the company did not have a sale, the shipping was $7.95 plus an additional $7.95 "hot weather" shipping fee tacked on. QVC had the product for the same base price and as per usual zero shipping cost on food items. This time it was cheaper to buy from QVC.
