Re: Shawn K's 2 Announcements

Lately her mind has been on reminding us that she is going to Bahamas over spring break.

Re: Shawn K's 2 Announcements

I just read through all the awful comments about Shawn. I don't get why QVC would encourage this kind of community bullying. I saw a program last evening that included Shawn and Mally and I thought it was informative and fun .

The same reason why QVC allows poor behavior from their hosts-your bar is set very low

@JudyL    I see the header below for the Connect with Us, but nothing to post there. I DO see that the feedback button is now back. I just used that feature, pasted the link to this string of comments and said how it's a serious issue with Shawn that need addresed (since customers turn OFF QVC when she's on, as well as Mally due to their behavior).

Last night Mally was presenting with Lawrence Z. He talked about designing for real women. He said something like, you, Mally, a real woman. Her reply was, "yes, I have a v*****.  Always ready with the "shocking" comment. He blushed and laughed it off. What I find funny is the word gets censored here but is okay on live tv. I believe they added Mally for her personality; as much as many find her loud and crass, there are some viewers who find her funny and enjoy her way of speaking. Guess they are trying to please different types of viewers.
Can you just imagine any other host coming back with that response?

@Catch71  @San Antonio Gal   I saw an AD for her newest show that must talk about Menopause, but it was a quick AD that said, "We're going to make America stronger one V word at a time" I was SHOCKED!! #UNfilgered...Somehow, this trainwreck of a CEO made $6M+ last year, its absolutely DISGUSTING!!

I’m with you, . Some of these inane comments remind me of the scene in “The Music Man,” when the outraged, busybody, small-town ladies are superimposed on a bunch of fussy chickens pecking and squawking.

Mally and Shawn occasionally push it a little as they find their way in this new QVC, but I don’t see a reason for these hysterics. But then, I don’t think a woman’s body is “disgusting,” either. I appreciate blunt honesty when discussing certain matters unique to women. It’s long overdue.

No one is being inane.  It's about comfort levels in the public sphere.  As QVC is a TV store that is supposed to appeal to EVERYONE, its sales clerks should not use language that is not publicly acceptable to all of society.

Some people would not bat an eye at someone screaming "FU" on a street corner, but others would find it offensive.  That's why there is a PUBLIC code of behavior that everyone can live by.

And to be blunt, I personally don't find anything beautiful about a woman's or man's genitalia.  They don't call it bumping uglies for nothing.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

I'm sorry, but when QVC is running an ad promo featuring Shawn dropping an F bomb, it's not "pushing it a little," it's QVC encouraging this behavior and specifically marketing it. If  this is what they want their brand to be known for, people have a right to comment on it.
