I am not really into sequins or sparkles on my clothes.  That does not fit my personality.  Plus, I don't want the extra garment care it might take. I also don't want the disappointment when those things start to fall off, as they usually do.

@xryretriever  Never been a fan of wearing all of that stuff.

Re: Sequins and sparkles

[ Edited ]

I am here for the sparkle and shine, in classy moderated ways.  What Not to Wear taught us back then it was okay to wear sequins or bugle beads etc during the day and ever since then I have tossed them in as a pick-me-up, especially in the winter. And covid was such an emotional drain on the world I love skirts, shine and dressing up are in play again all the while still being comfortable!

I have a few sequin tops, but my favorite is a chocolate brown tank with sparkly thread though it.  I wear it all year round.  Usually under a plain blazer or cardigan.  I get so many compliments on it.  Not too overdone.  Machine washable, I love it.  I do wear extra sparkles at the holiday.  🎄🎊

I always say, You can never have too much sparkle!

I don't use/wear sequins, but I do like metallic threads in some of the yarns that I use.

In fact - I was digging through my stash this morning looking for some silver threads to use in a scarf that I want to make.

I'm tired of it also.  Maybe if I had somewhere to wear sparkles I would be more interested.

I'm a Figure Skater.  There's always room for a little sparkle in my life.

I've noticed every fashion line on QVC is full of sequins and sparkles. Do that many people really wear these items? I'm kinda tired of it.

Sequins and sparkles definitely have a purpose especially this time of year.

Depends on what you personally like, and I know there are lots of people that like and need sparkles.

Holiday parties, winter weddings, fancy brunch, lots of places to wear sparkle.

For several years there have been endless complaints about the volume of leisure, casual, athletic,  PJ,  loungewear type of garments shown on QVC.

Now they try a different direction for the season, and there are complaints!

Gotta laff and luv it!
