I'm confused on this - who's the designer and who is the presentor? Who is Christian James? 

I never really liked anything by Scott Grimes, I really am not fond of him either, something about him. His items were nice but extremely pricey. I have none, never wanted any.

Now he's doing another line and just like that he's here again? Is Grimes the presentor and the designer he's now flaunting is named Christian James? 

Anybody?

I think it is the combined names of his husband and son.

Don't you just love it when vendors say they are now taking time to spend with family?  The same goes with the hosts who say they are also leaving to spend time with family.  The next thing you know they become 'ambassadors' for items presented on air.

Some pieces are up already and they seem very ho-hum to me.

I have become more selective about my JAI purchases and I still like the line, however, I liked it much better when it was more closely associated with John Hardy.  It has slowly gone off that path  with its introduction to what I call "hokey" pieces.  

This new Christian James line doesn't hold much interest for me.

That makes sense.

I don't recall him saying he left to "spend time with family" but do recall him saying something about moving on to "the next chapter" or something like that.

As for those that do say that, and are then back...I think going from full time hosts to part-time vendors does allow them more time with their families. Then there are those like Sharon, who I always liked as a host...she really DID leave the biz and became a full-time mom...good for her. Jill started her own thing, which suits her...she always did like to "own" the room, when presenting...and she's able to do her biz and vendor rep gigs around her life.

As for Scott...I never cared so much about him, one way or the other..it was too much for me with all the "stories", and I like Jill doing the JAI line now. I did like some JAI pieces, but only own the box chain bracelet my mom gave to me, for a special bday, that I wear everyday. I like some things I see, but I'm just not collecting new jewelry these days...just wearing all I already own or inherited...it's enough! If I decide to buy a new piece of jewelry, I have a local jeweler I love...that's where I'd go these days.

@amyb  I agree on the emotional stories attached to literally every piece... honestly I don't want to be wearing  your history on my neck.., and this sterling box chain has this much personal baggage for you???okay....
