Re: STOP IT will all the easy pay!!!

@fthunt That's interesting.  I lived with my sister when I was 13 on.  She had 4 children and a single parent.  There was no welfare, nothing.

We made it with help from my Dad and Social Security til he died when I was 16.  She just rented apartments.

My point?  Well, life is all about remembering where you came from and what made you who you are.

I've never forgotten that part of my life.  I'm lucky now, I don't have to worry about money, but I remember what it was like.

This country is getting more and more about those who do have money.

It's really hard trying to make my grandchildren realize how lucky they are.

A parent works hard to give your children the kind of life better than you had, but then you spend your time telling them 'they're lucky and it could have been different'.

My grandchildren get to go to Europe, Hawaii, you name it.  They've traveled everywhere.  Taken 4 and 5 vacations (for weeks at a time) every year.  They have an amazing life.  They have stay-at-home mom's like I was.

So, it's hard to make them really understand the other side of life.  Not to judge people just because they made some bad decisions and/or don't have much.

I've tried to do everything I can to protect my children so they respect what they'll inherit and use it wisely.

Same thing with my grandchildren.  I used to get upset because we lived in an almost all white community.

My late husband was so much wiser than me.  He said, "Once they get out in the world they'll meet people from everywhere.  They'll do well because we've taught them to respect other's."

He was so right.  They are the most non-judgmental people I know.  That is important to me.  That they don't judge people.  Very, very important.

Doesn't mean you have to love them.  Doesn't mean they have to be your best friends.  Just treat them kindly.

The bible says, "Judge not lest you will be judged".  I think that's true.

Phew!  How the heck did I get on this in this post?  I think I feel so strongly about people who don't have much being judged by those who do.  You want to @#$% me off....do that.

@CLHS68   I’ve always had a choice to pay in full or use easy pay whether I ordered online or by phone. It isn’t mandatory.

Please stop with all the easy pay. I think it has gotten carried away. At least give us choices - PLEASE!!! On an item less that $50 I do not want 6, 5, or even 4 easy pay. If an item is $100 or more then 6 easy pay might occassionally be warranted. Again, I beg, please give us choices on every item if you are going to continue to keep up this relentless easy pay!

I don't understand your complaint.  You do not have to use, it is just an option.

Simply analyzed. Susan Gravers pieces, have hit middle $40s, and more. Most imported not made here. Putting together 1 top and one pant nears $90 plus tax, shipping. Making extended payments encourages more sales.

@RAG  Wow you are an occational contributor and you are yelling "stop it" for something you don't even have to particpate?  The world does not stop because "you" are not pleased.  As everyone else has stated -- just pay off your bill or when you are in the ordering process, do not choose the easy pay option.  Seems pretty simple to me.

Re: STOP IT will all the easy pay!!!

@Krimpette  I agree.  I'm tired of hearing about "birthday month", easy pay and most of all tired of hearing about the Q card.   I had one years ago and no benefits to having it at all.  (I don't use easy pay.)

Re: STOP IT will all the easy pay!!!

I completely understand what you are saying and most of the replies here missed the point. Easy pay does not discount the price at all. It drives me crazy when the hosts say "only $5 to get this home today." Please!! Easy pay seems to always be offered so what's the big birthday deal? To me... nothing. At least with free shipping, shoppers are saving a little bit of money and it can add up with multiple items.

I am tired of the relentless push of the Q card. They must get a kick back of some of the interest paid. Just another way to get money from their customer base.
