Re: SOMETHING'S MISSING, DANCING, AND NAPPING.....

I probably will regret the bag I put back, but I must hold firm. One was MORE than enough, given that I believe my inventory outpaces QVC's, which these days, apparently isn't so hard to do...

As for the kitty food, no, this is a canned food variety and I did look at Petco. They didn't have it either, but then I don't remember them ever carrying it, while Petsmart (a misnomer in my book) always did!... I've found several places to order it on-line, so will do so...

Actually, I did get the teapot. Something else I didn't need, but I have a lovely collection of them and this one was so very pretty. I figure twelve bucks is not going to make a huge difference one way of the other...

Yea, well, tell dear sis SHE'S wierd... {#emotions_dlg.laugh} Eli about says it all... But seriously, I rarely use the teapots, but do occasionally make a pot of tea and when I do I tend to use the same blue and white teapot given me years ago from Williams Sonoma... and I always use a tea kettle to heat water for a cup of tea or even when making a pitcher of iced tea... There's nothing wrong with using the microwave, but the gentility of a teapot and kettle, well, it's just sort of nice.

SPURT, why aren't you fond of Petco? I've bought many things from them and have been pleased with the service. A few years back I got a cat condo, but the cat I had then, Quentin, (now at Rainbow Bridge) was too big to fit inside; there was no problem returning it.

Lucky likes the collapsible tunnel I bought about five years ago for my other cats; they didn't care for it, but Lucky plays in it and uses it as his bed. Everything I've gotten from Petco has been well made, it's just that one never knows if the cat will like it or not.

I wanted to watch a movie I thought I had taped, but instead of the movie, there was a football game on the tape: 2011 SNF game between the Giants and Cowboys! I forgot that I had even taped that. Dallas had a 12 point lead at one point, but lost in the final minutes, 37-34. Your sister must have been proud the way Eli staged a comeback. That was when the Giants were winning all their games late in the season.

Hi Teganslaw.....

Perhaps, I misspoke, I don't have anything against Petco products, I think it's more of the way the Manager runs the store near my house. The store is always dirty and they have this huge open enclosure where they put guinea pigs and they don't change the straw and the store smells really bad. And the employees are never to be found when you need help or are trying to check out. To give you an example, one time in particular, I ran in Petco because they are closer than Petsmart and I was in a hurry....and no employees to be found AGAIN!....and a man was in there trying to buy dog food so we both trying to find an employee to check us out....he opened the door to the store room and there were about 4 employees looking at something on a cell phone....so the guy yelled "is it possible that we can pull you away for a moment so you can check out a couple customers"....The employees always seem to be goofing around rather than working, and they are a bit rude too. And it seems anytime I've gone there, its been that way. And they don't support the small cat rescue groups like Petsmart does....Now I was in another Petco on the other side of town and the store was nice and clean and folks are helpful, so I think its just the Manager and employees of that one store.....

Well Im glad your Petco was helpful. Lucky sounds like he's an active kitty.....I know what you mean about these cat products. I bought this toy which was made out of material and when the cat walked on it lights would come on and cats are supposed to jump on the lights....kind of like a laser toy that they play with by themselves and I thought it would give her some exercise while I was at work, but Figgy did not like it at all.....

I bet my sister would have enjoyed seeing that Giant/Cowboy game again.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} The Giants used to be the comeback kids.....but Eli now has a bad line, and not too many weapons, and a lot of their defensive players have moved on. Its going to be an interesting year in the NFC East....Im just hoping for a little bit of improvement. Your lucky Tegan you got a good young QB and a good organization.

In my area, most of the Petsmarts are a step up from most of the Petcos but there are exceptions. Of the store nearest me, the Petsmart is the better store, or at least I used to think so!

Oh so its canned food your little guy needs.......but what a pain to have to order it online. These stores just dont want to make anything convenient for customers. One of my friends complained to a grocery store Manager about a list of things they never seemed to stock.....his solution, shop on Wednesday when the trucks come in. Let's make it easier for the store and plan our shopping around them, instead of what is convenient for your customer....Why not make sure everything gets stocked up....Whatever happened to "the customer knows best" or "the customer is always right".......{#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

My sister fights a constant battle with her cat, because her kitty has food allergies and she finds a brand and then these pet food companies constantly change formulas and add a filler and something her cat is allergic to.....so she has to keep changing food....its a real pain for her and the cat....

Re: SOMETHING'S MISSING, DANCING, AND NAPPING.....

Let's face it, despite all the supposed focus on "customer service" it's business as usual and the customer isn't the focus. If we were, there wouldn't be long lines at check out, shelves would be stocked, restaurant temperatures would be set at a comfortable level for those paying to eat there and not for the wait staff and on and on and on... The woman at Petsmart actually told me I should keep checking back in... Really? I suppose it never occurred to her to suggest they might call me if or when they restock this item. Instead, I suppose I'm just supposed to swing by in the spare time I don't have on the off chance TPTB will decide to sell something other than what I can find at any other store... Go figure.

Oh and Spurt, we best begin preparing our bowl of suds, as NEXT weekend Philosophy takes center stage YET again on Saturday. Sunday, well, moms and company REALLY have a treat in store, as we spend the entire day on computers AND Dyson... Wow... Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz, oh what a relief it is... Sorry, the only relief is not to tune in... This has become almost surreal and if it was funny, it'd be a joke.

I have nothing to add to the great posts already here. Just want to say this is the first thing I look for when I sign on, new postings by Spurt.

My ability is limited to just typing; I have no idea how to import those great pictures and that, along with the commentary is a highlight of my viewing!

This is getting ridiculous....wasnt Philosophy the TSV or did they not sell what they expected to and had to bring it back....oh that moms! {#emotions_dlg.angry}

And Dyson is so overexposed....they are on the Q so much it's ridiculous, and on HSN, and someone spotted them on one of the other shopping channels too....AND they have their own infommercials.....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}OVERKILL!!!!

I saw an article in one of the financial publications that Wally World layed off some Sam Club employees.....and they contemplated whether this could also mean that if just Sam's Club is in trouble, or whether Wally World itself could be starting to decline ....they cited all the customer complaints about lack of quality merchandise, lack of cashiers etc etc....hey maybe moms could go back to her old employer and "help"them out {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} .....I would be dancing in the streets if that happened!
