Don't forget you pay $99 a year for Amazon Prime, so it's not exactly accurate to say "free S&H".
I have Amazon Prime and like it, but I don't think it's "free".
I only paid "$79" for a year's membership, it was a promo.
But you won't in the future! And either way, it's still not free, so it's a moot point.

It will take only a few items ordered from QVC and paying their S&H charges, to equal the value of Amazon's "free" shipping, regardless of whether it costs "$99" or not.
........btw, what's a "moolt" point??

@Moonchilde wrote:WHY would the OP, being a Prime member and knowing that QVC charges shipping, not check the price of the book on Amazon before purchasing at QVC? I never buy QVC-offered cookbooks from QVC unless they are flat only available from QVC.
If the OP insists on the air fryer being 5 quarts, others in the marketplace are more expensive than QVC's price.
So, "for the principle of the thing" the OP has wasted something like $25 on the cookbooks by the time they go back, as they were $5 each cheaper at Amazon with free shipping.
And any 5-qt air fryer she buys in the marketplace will run $15-25 more apiece than QVC's price. Oops.
There's principle, and there's cutting off one's nose to spite their face.
Ummm, everyone knows, but apparently you don't, that Amazon always has a release date for their pre-ordered books later than the release date that QVC offers. Meredith's air fryer cookbook still has an Amazon release date in December, the last time I checked. Sure you pay more for one at QVC but that depends on just how badly you want one or if you need one for a gift and need it quicker than QVC's release date.
All of you so called "Armchair Authorities" need to realize that sometimes it doesn't matter what the cost or inconvenience is, complain enough about something and then maybe, just maybe, things might change!
By the way, remember when items used to cost "$3" or "$5" to ship......according to the customer service rep....."Shipping and Handling" has "gone up again", I take that to mean that there will be no more reasonable S&H charges. Enjoy your shopping with QVC.
LOL. No, the cookbooks from Amazon are not "always" available later than they are at QVC. I've bought a couple that were new releases available at the same time. Amazon lists the release date as Dec 1, which means that with Prime they would be received on Dec 1st. How much wrapping & mailing time is needed, assuming they are for December holidays?
Since the US postal service has announced all or most fees are going up in January 2017, I wouldn't be looking for QVC shipping fees to decrease. Amazon is in the hole shipping right now as it is and there is discussion as to whether they will be forced to increase the cost of Prime to stop them hemorrhaging further from shipping costs.
Me? I shop with QVC relatively rarely, and only for items unobtainable elsewhere. I *always* comparison shop before I put anything in my virtual cart. Chances are good I can find most things I buy cheaper or for the same price and not have to pay for shipping.

Good for you OP, because this is precisely what it's going to take for them ever to 'get it' that we refuse to be over-charged for shipping so that they can profit, not just from the sale, but from the shipping too. It's clear, shipping is a source of profit for them. They are not simply charging what's fair and reasonable for them to get an item to us.
Sadly, others are correct, you will be charged return shipping for the books and original shipping will not be refunded, so you might even consider keeping the books, while cancelling the rest of your order. Sooner or later, those 'air fryers' will be available here or elsewhere for less... and they'll ship for less too.
I also noted that a lot of their 'clearance' items have gone up in price, some substantially, from what they've been priced in recent memory.

Got your knickers in a twist at those who pointed out the obvious. I find that hilarious!
Oh, I don't know... If enough people get fed up with QVC's non-customer friendly policies, no matter how clearly they may be stated, they won't be doing 'just fine'... In fact, recent financial reports indicate they aren't doing 'just fine' at all.

I ordered 2 clothing items that were mailed together. I paid $11 for shopping, even though they were in the same package. What gives, QVC?

At least they offer the option... and if you buy enough from Amazon, it pays for itself... Besides, with or without Prime, many things ship free both ways... Something QVC can't say... So actually, the point isn't quite so moot...

Thank you stevieb! Also for your above post. So glad that someone else "gets" my point I was trying to make....regardless if it will cost me.

@Mimix5Grandies ~ I get your point, too. I look at the shipping charges as a positive thing, though. Yesterday during Valerie's House to Home show I was going to buy three garlands and one wreath ( the red berry and pearl garlands ~ I would need three of them where I planned on using them). When I saw the shipping was $22.00 for all four of them I emptied my cart. Today I'm happy since more holiday decor is the last thing I need!
