Will it be on this year? I tried the search bar and it wasn't working. It's usually in early September. I checked Jane Treacy's Facebook page, she hasn't mentioned it yet.

I would like to see some new items too.

In addition to new Irish goods, it sure would be nice to be able to buy a sweater in true 3X size. To my memory, none to one of the Irish sweaters have ever been in that size (and tend to run small vs US sizes anyway, i.e a size 10 in the US is a size 12-14 in the UK and a 3X is more like a 2X in US sizes). The companies who bring the sweaters simply won't make them apparently, even for QVC.

No, I have NO interest in a poncho or ruana, thank you. I tune in to the Irish shows, but since I can't buy any clothing and no longer have room or desire for dustable tchotchkes, add JRT, and I generally tune back out pretty quickly.

I just tried to order an ARAN craft sweater , of which I already own two of,,just wanted another color since it is on sale. Was told NOT ABLE TO SHIP TO CALIFORNIA. I called customer service, as this happened to me last year on another sweater.

I was told there is LEAD used in the dying process and this (and who knows how many others) sweater is no allowed to be shipped to California. WHAT???

I sure hope I am able to order something on  Wednesday, Maybe it is only Aran craft that is doing this.

I ordered a sweater last year and it arrived to my home in California.

I own about 22 sweaters, that I have ordered from the Irish specials. One last year, the BUTTERFLY stitch sweater, was not allowed to be shipped to California, however, until then, I never had any trouble with ordering and having sent here. No one seemed to know why when I called.

The other day I decided to order a third sweater with a design that I had already orderred twice before, simply because I loved the pattern. When I attempted to order it I  again, got that statement , this item cannot be shipped to this address..I called customer service and told them it was the second time this has happened, she tried to order it for me and got the same result..So she asked a supervisor,,and I was told that Aran craft has started using LEAD in the dyeing process and the state of California does not allow this, . She said I could order it and have it sent to someone in another state , then they could forward it,,,This would be another $20-25 for postage so I did not do it.

I then went online and ordered another style and it went thru ok.

I dont get it either,,I was already sent, in prior years, this same sweater,,and now I cant have it,,

I just received an email from ARANCRAFT rep. Here is the story.

There is a small tab at the bottom of some zippers , it is a tiny area that is reinforced to make it easier to locate and start the zipper. This particular zipper failed the Proposition  65 test so the state of Califonia will not allow it to be sent here. This is where the lead is.

When Arancraft decided to sell these thru QVC they had to specify that they could not be sold in California.

I will follow up this email , with a call to a supervisor at QVC to let them know WHY this happened and that the problem is not in the dyeing process , but is, instead a tiny bit of lead in the zipper tab.

Sorry to mislead anyone but I was told differently by a QVC supervisor.
