The world is in crisis.

Kindness is a thing of the past..... and this is the topic of conversation.

I am truly worried.

I would think they are old enough to know better.  I would also think they have had someone sometime in their life make a rude comment about something they wore and they are old enough to know how bad they felt.  Taking that all into consideration, everyone should lighten up.

I have not seen Rick or his glasses.

But I don't find it so horrible to have an opinion on it.  People on television are scrutinized for how they look.  It is a fact of life.  And certainly they know it.  And if one picks out a pair of glasses that are striking in some way (have not seen Rick's), it will get commented on.  And surely they know it too.  Might be why they picked them.  Haven't seen someone mock the fact that Rick NEEDS glasses, only their style.

So I find the outrage rather disingenuous.

Rick's glasses are his choice.

As a general comment, I hate wire framed glasses, especially on people on tv because most of the time, you cannot see the frames, you can just see glare from lenses and I think it looks odd.

I have blonde hair and green eyes.  I generally wear contacts but I do own glasses. I want glasses that totally stand out, not blend in to my face color and hair color.  If I'm wearing glasses, I want them to pop, not blend. That's just me.

Wow...can't people wear what they want and buy the glasses they like without others saying they know better?

Amen, Moroco!  We are turning into a mean-spirited country where people apparently feel compelled to criticize those who are not just like them.

Poor Rick is fighting the same battle as the older female hosts....the aging process!! He's trying to keep his look relevant and hip. He has the same pressure as the gals to look young. I think the male hosts all have an identity they use in selling their products....Dan (can't remember his last name) but he's the "handyman" guy who likes gadgets and tools and stresses how he has a farm etc...David is the loveable down to earth all round good guy, Alberti is the your go to guy for house decor (I'd love to see him work with Valerie) fashion, beauty and Rick got the role as the "handsome" guy who is a charmer. So now he has to keep that going which means keeping his look in step. I'm sure the pressure is on him just like it is with the gals.
