Maybe now if this is true, Rick will seem more forced to announce it publically on the air, since it has already come out in print.  Time will tell.

@Caaareful Shopper   I agree.  I am always shocked at how gullible people are to fall for what bloggers say

@Caaareful Shopper   Kristine Zell had to be one of the absolute worst hosts ever hired. I often  wondered how Mary Beth Roe missed that one

If it's true - sorry to hear that. He hasn't slowed down at all on air and would still be a great host for some time. (Especially enjoy him with Val.) But at 65, I get it. I would agree that you can't believe bloggers BUT like others here, I've read Linda Moss for many years and have never known her to be inaccurate when it comes to home shopping news. So, Rick is probably packing it in.

I hope he isn't retiring. I love Rick St. Nick with Valerie. Always a good time when he decorates with Valerie.

He is 65 and well deserved. I don't watch QVC often so

shouldn't be surprised. Is this common knowledge?

SEGardener, it seems to be fairly widely known. There are some other posts about it. I watched the show and his voice cracked when he started talking about it. He was a real pro and was able to hold it together to finish his statement. He must really love his job but its great that he can retire and have more time for himself and his wife.
